I'm not really into live bait fishing and I'm not familiar with the regulations so hopefully someone else will chime in. Also, you can try to use larger lures to stop catching the smaller fish. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys. Soccplayer07, I was fishing a small runoff where I found some moving water. Like I said, I was just casting up tight to cover and letting it sit a for a second or two. Then I would give it a twitch or two before starting a slow retrieve. They would usually hit it after the twitch. I did get a few hits on the retrieve, but I think I got excited and pulled it away from them. Hope this helps.

Just got back from a pond near my neighborhood. I thought the conditions would be good for a little hardgill fishing. Most of the hits came after a long cast tight to cover. I would just let it sit for a second, then give it a slight twitch or two and they would just clobber it. first second Third ;D (I actually caught a fourth smaller than this) Four fish landed, two more misses, and one follow. Pretty fun outing

I did a little frog fishin in manassas last weekend with two fish, but nothing worthy of a post. ;D I stay in the manassas/centreville area but I will travel just about anywhere for some new/productive water. If you wanna try somewhere around here thats cool too, I've just been getting the ol' skunk so much I don't know if I could put you on fish for sure. Let me know dude!

I had some pretty crazy dreams last night too. ;D I had a dream where I broke up with my girlfriend and her family put a hit out on me. I was running around with my dog killing dudes like Rambo. LOL I usually never remember my dreams either. Weird..

Wow! Glad to hear they made it out ok. Sounds like a miscommunication by the police, not the caller. If someone were to call 911 and say "There are two guys about to go over the dam!" you don't send the rescue boats to the other side of the dam..
