Thanks big time. After your previous post I was just thinking I need to get to a neurologist (as well as a few other specialist). I really take pretty poor care of myself in terms of keeping myself up to date with my health. I know that because I'm still pretty young that I neglect some of these things. But I know If I don't get them checked out, Im gonna pay for it in the long run. Cart I hope all goes well at the doctors and Im sure you will be feeling much better soon. Thank god we have such a great group of people here at BR to look out for each other.

This is a very interesting topic. I've grown up taking bottles and bottles of advil. I don't get severe headaches like you are describing Russ (well sometimes), But I do get them very often. I accually woke up this morning with one. I wanted to ask about Horner's syndrom. My left eyelid dropped noticably about 4 or 5 years ago :-[. In the Cluster headache comunity, is this perminate or only until symptoms subside? edited to add: I usually cannot drink alcohol, even a beer, without getting a headache. Usually liquor being lightest to wine being WORST.

I have no problem lippin a bass, Its when I accidently hook a cat that Im completely clueless. Am I gonna get finned? Or if my hand gets near the mouth I think Its gonna chomp down. I think I have a pretty high tolorance for pain but when it comes to catfish, Im way out of my comfort zone. ;D

I do fish a lot of water with heavy vegitation and slop. There is only one spot I fish that is a rocky sandy bottom. And I really want to commit to learning the jig with this setup. Im thinking MH would be better, not to say medium isn't a great all around rod. If I get the Medium Heavy and I hate It I'll fly over to Cali and let you kick me in the butt! ;D Thats a really cool idea. Thanks for all the tips Sam. Brokejew and Big I think I'm definitely going to start with Mono. Thanks for saving me some $$ in the long run.

bass=nasty tank. eat, poop, eat, poop, eat, poop, eat, poop, eat, poop. If you have the money for a big tank, high end filter, and enough time to clean your setup, then go for it. Otherwise i'd leave um for catchin.

Thanks a ton guys. I did read about using mono backing and it said you may see a bump where the lines are connected so you can use electrical tape instead. Guess i'll just have to experiment. (hate to waste expensive braid though ;D) I also read that power pro can cause digging in because it too thin (can't believe everything you hear). the reel is spec'd for something like 10-14# test. I like the PP but haven't really tried anything else. Im guessing 40 or 50# test braid? Also, you guys argee with the MH? or should I get the M. Not trying to start a debate, Just opinions ;D thanks again.

Hey guys, My birthday is tomorrow and I am going to order a new baitcasting set up that is on sale at bass pro. Its the citica and xps combo. Im very eager to learn how to use a baitcaster, so being that this setup is on sale, I want to take advantage. I want this rod to be a good all around rod, but used mostly for plastics and jigs. I was thinking the 7' MH rod. Does this sound about right? I wanted to spool some braid on it and I will use leaders for plastics when needed. Are there any tips you guys can give, as far as basic use that may not have been covered in the multitude of websites with begginer tutorials. I've already read reel mechanics website on basic setup. Also, I have a hell of a time spooling line onto my spinning reel as is (Recently tried braid, and even with drag tightened all the way, the entire spool of braid was spinning making even the smallest of dinks a 2 or 3 min fight ;D), Are there any tips or trick on how to spool a BC? Thanks in advance.

Congrats dude!! thats a pudgy fish. Im sorry about your loss. The way I see it is that you didn't feel a thing because your grandfather put that guy on your hook. Keep him in your thoughts and he will always be with you.
