  4. No clue. It is just good know and a good lesson that if you think something is wrong, ask for the re-weigh. I would like to know though, it throws off the whole system, makes people question it, and a lot of people can get _____ over as a result. But no one else questioned it after me so it must have been on. I'm sure someone would have said something if it kept happening. Like when they are weighing in their 5 pounder for lunker and it comes up 1.26.
  5. I'm in my second year of college, work about 25 hours a week at UPS, and I fish the Bassmaster Weekend Series along with a few other little tourney's. I will tell you this, unless you really really want it, don't do it. I have been on the road most of the summer and it is expensive if you are not cashing checks and exhausting. The exhausting part is the worst though. Fishing 13-15 hour days, hardly eating, driving driving and doing more driving. And if you are not in a truck driving you are in a boat driving, driving, and driving. Then after to fish the tournament, you weigh-in, leave at around 5pm for the 6 hour drive home, and ave to be up for work in 3 hours. It will tire you out in a hurry. But when you get the big check and the trophy it is all worth it.
  6. You know how I roll.
  7. I have gotten a bunch of phone calls about it. He even called to tell me. ;D It's been a good couple weeks. Lowell won, then Wolfie, now me. 8-)
  8. Ah crap, I know who that is. We are all in deep trouble now.
  9. No the co-angler has a 3 fish limit. I had a couple other 4 pound smallies I just threw back, so my best 5 would have gone over 20 maybe 21, and it took 19.6 to take it on the boater side. So I could have taken that as well. Ryan, not sure about the points. I'm not worried about them any way because I can't fish the Regional or whatever it is, I have mid-terms that week. Plus I missed one of the tourney's anyway.
  10. I don't know but I know it isn't the first time it is happened. I was weighing them on an X-Tools scale during the tourney and I figured I had about 12.5-12.8. At the weigh-in it never went up and down, just locked in at 9.08 as soon as he put the fish on. The second time it moved around a little and locked in at 12.74. There is no question about it though, everyone of those smallies was over 4 pounds. When you even have the guy who is in 2nd at the time in your division telling you to re-weigh them, you know there is an issue.
  11. At 5:45am we began our 40 mile run south out of Plattsburgh. But as soon as we hit the main lake it was nothing but 4-5 foot waves, we have to slow down and what should have taken 40 minutes took almost double that. We arrived to the spot we would fish all day around 7am and my second cast with the drop-shot was a sign of things to come. As I'm reeling it up and have 5 feet of line out, a solid 4.5-5 pound smallie nails it, takes about 30 feet of my 6 pound fluoro out, comes out of the water 4 feet and throws it back at me. I wasn't upset or anything it just showed me what was there. About 15 minutes later I put in a 2 pound smallie and a 2 and a halfer and the boater put in a couple nice ones as well. Then I just went on a tare and banged out fish after fish. I put 3 4+ smallies in the boat by 8:30 and I was pretty much done. I fished a little longer and caught a few more 3 and 4 plus smallies but nothing was over the smallest one in the box(4.3). Now the fun part begins. What were 4-5 footers in the morning had turned into 5-6 footers and it was brutal, even in a 21 foot Kitty Cat. Our flight wasn't due in until 2:15 but with the conditions and the 40 mile run back to Plattsburgh we left at 12:30. It was a good choice, we made it back at 2:03. We speared a couple on the way back, filled the boat with water, and I would be surprised if the boat didn't have stress cracks. So I get the truck we pull out the boat, bag the fish and go up on stage. Everyone is amazed with the size of the fish as they are all over 4 pounds. I put them on the scale and they come up 9.08 and I'm in 2nd. ?????? So a couple of the guys start yelling for the weigh-master to re-weigh them. I asked for the re-weigh and he put them back on. 12.74!!!!!! And that was it. I now have a nice trophy, a check that paid for all of my tourney's this year, and a back that is gone from the boat ride. I'm really hurting this morning. But it is all worth getting those brown-fish on 6 pound line. Getting ready to go back up later on in the week, gonna see if I can pull a Ryan and go back to back. *Russ, very sorry I couldn't make it to the CAST event.
  12. Yaaaaaaaaaawn, always has some sort of excuse! Fine I will now have to hold a special Spring "LBH" T(for the catching challenged) ;D . Russ picks the date, I pick the lake Watcha gonna come up with now? : Odds are,....A check. Keep yapping. The only ones you have ever got are from UPS.
  13. It's all dat dare fri chicken n biscits n gravy. Dat dang sweet tea will rot your teet out too.
  14. Yaaaaaaaaaawn, always has some sort of excuse! Fine I will now have to hold a special Spring "LBH" T(for the catching challenged) ;D . Russ picks the date, I pick the lake Watcha gonna come up with now? : How about a tourney on Lake X??? Pond X is already in the works This has to be a small 5 boat limit I recently have become very good friends with a girl who lives on it. She said I'm welcome anytime as long as I take her out on it.

  16. You know I'm in for Stafford. 8-) Glad to see the weigh-in is at 3 and not 1, so I won't have to run back. lol Not sure about Turner though, I will get back to you on that one.
  17. ;D I was considering posting about this a little while ago. It is just starting to tick me off now.
  18. I've been trying to get the wife to get a second job all summer long. Your my hero.
  19. That sucks, I got 3. 8-)
  20. Nice largies. Now go take that Triton out where it is meant to be and find some big smallies.
  21. You also need to pay attention to the other things that you fish. I want to fish the Stren Series next year but if I do then I cannot fish the ABA. Certain tourney series like the ABA say you cannot spend over X amount of dollars in entry fees because then by their rules you are considered to be a pro. And as mentioned above, you will be looking at about another grand or so in expenses a tourney depending on how many days you prefish. It is becomming a rich mans sport. >

  23. Ok so lets see what he can do under pressure in 2012. We know he can beat everyone, but what about everything. I remember "Ocho-Cinco" Chad Johnson racing a horse last year. Let's put Phelps in a pool with a 20' Great White that has not eaten in a while and see the outcome.
  24. Hesitant? I would want nothing to do with it. A 9 year old should not be in the woods alone, hunting with a loaded weapon. Here is a good question, if the child gets lost or something happens, will the parents be prosecuted for a crime?. Like neglect (middle of the woods, alone, in winter), child indangerment, ect. ect. There are a few more things I would love to say but I'm sure someone else has the exact opposite view.
  25. It is if you can throw a tube and drop-shot. And one other thing. :-X And daylight might be a better choice depending on the water level, that place is a mine field., I can see some trolling motor shafts being bent. If that's the case.............can I borrow your baot for this event? ;D I'm away, take it if you want.
