I tuned mine into a large hefty bag and went to another brand. lol

That Tx was a 6 fish limit and it took just under 26 to win and 2-4 were in the 24-25 pound range. I think there were 5 or 6 smallies over 5 weighted in. It seems to fish better than Onondaga and Oneida from looking at other tx weights and just as well as Champlain. But where as the smallies seem to stunt up around 4.25 to 4.5 on Champ there are legit 5+ fish on Cayuga.

As soon as I finish school and really get back into fishing again I will get another truck. Until then I love getting 34 mpg. lol And Hammer, very nice ride.

Nothing wrong with the third best..... ;D Cayuga is a blast, fished a spawn tx there last year and have never seen so many 5+ smallies on best. Unfortunately it was difficult sight fishing because the conditions were just like what you had. :

It's the only way I fish mine. I went from the Fat Albert to the Berkley because I like the scent. One of my favorite baits around the spawn period.

Sorry but depending on the size of the hook and thickness of the bait I would say the XF is too whippy for a decent hookset. I use my XF for the drop-shot and rigs with an exposed hook I don't have to punch through plastic. If it were me I would go with a fast.

Tiny zip ties and trailer hooks are a spinnerbait fisherman's best friend.
