  1. LOL One of those things and I would be dead.
  2. As Team Depends members were telling stories and in the "back alliies" of the internet at 1:30am on a Friday night/Saturday morning, Team Pampers members were out partying with cougars.
  3. No, I think Dave's new gf is the kinky type. Just look at him tied to that overpass fencing.
  4. I agree with most of what you're saying. No one wants to work anymore, people just want things handed to them. I started out with an Ugly Stick combo when I was about 14 and then got a job. I bought a boat and won about 2o tournies before I went out for sponsors. I got a bunch of them and then realized how much work it all was. Sure you get 10 free $250 rods a year and anything else at cost or $4 jigs for $0.50 but you have to act like a corporate suit. Most things are not as cracked up as they seem.
  5. x2 The best, (and I own a Ford) lol ... Can't wait to graduate and make money.
  6. Pay attention to what type of braid you are using. Some braids are more round while others can be trapizoidal like and have edges that will cut and groove.
  7. Yes I have done and used both. Most guys I know up here use flouro for C-Rigging the super clear deep smallie waters. Generally 17-20 pound line and then you could always use a braid leader if you wanted because it will help make the bait float and when c-rigging you want every advantage you can get when it comes to the hookset. I generally flip and pitch moderate cover in clear water with 17 to 20 pound Trilene 100% or the Seaguar Abras-x (spelling) stuff. Both are extremely strong and abrasion resistant. You don't quite have the sensitivity of braid but with using a Mossyback I don't think it really matter. Once again if you are flipping nasty brush you could use a braid leader for the abrasion resistance if you don't trust the flouro. I personally don't use the braid leader because I like as few knots between the fish and I as possible. But I know a lot of guys on this site do.

I don't know but the young red head he was dating or got married to was hot.
  9. Moderate, fast, extra fast?

Depends on how my day went. lol And if I feel like putting my BS waders on.
  11. It's a Latino LBH that can grow facial hair.
  12. The Natural opened up his own company?
  13. Surprised to see that sort of anti-mining stuff in the area you live. :-?
  14. I would use the medium before a cranking rod. Different actions.
  15. DROP....SHOT.....HERO...!!!!! 8-) LOL, I haven't been called that since the Wallum days.
  16. I like the Strike King Goby, it was a little big for the drop-shot rig imo but the smallies loved it. They hold up well too.
  17. Stringjam, they cannot be any worse than the EWG trebles. I had nothing but issues with those trebles on my jerkbaits. I wouldn't loose fish but they would break or bend out while trying to get them out or after swinging the fish in the boat. I know smallies have harder jaws then largies but I lost all faith in them after about 3 hours.
  18. I can't wait to try these out. If they roll side to side nice and swim as well as a Skinny Dipper I won't have a reason to use RI anymore.
  19. Not for the swimming jigs. I would recommend a medium heavy if not heavy rod because chances are you are throwing a swim jig in cover a spinnerbait or cranks can't get through. So you want something you can make that hook punch through the weedguard and the fish. Then get the fish out of the cover.
  20. I agree about the tough play. You can't even try bluffing because most of the people just don't care and it is to the point were I won't even play decent suited connectors anymore.
  21. Ignore Long Mike Laugh at Burley LBH is MIA
  22. Ok, got you now. They wouldn't stray too far from beds they had made if they had not spawned yet.
  23. It all depends on the brand of rod. An extra fast Loomis is completely different to a extra fast Shimano imo. For example I will use the Loomis extra fast for throwing a 3/8 or 1/2 oz spinnerbait at a shoreline but use the Shimano extra fast for drop-shotting. Completely different rod actions.

Well it gets old when seven out of ten threads can usually be found in a search because the question has been brought up so many times. Hell, this is a thread that happens every winter (sometimes multiple times) as well. I don't even like to visit the tackle and rod/reel section because it is the same stuff and same recommendations over and over again. How many times can someone ask the same question over and over before it gets annoying? Especially when the answer is usually a page or two back. I know two wrongs don't make a right by why should some be given respect when they don't give it?
  25. Fishing frogs on spinning gear. :-X
