CHRIS HENRY HAS DIED FROM INJURIES(Bengals wide receiver)
Messed up story, another domestic dispute gone wrong.

I'm not buying any more softbaits! LOL
He was CLEARLY bed-fishing a smallie. Put anything near a smallies bed and it will eat it. He was using that color so he could see when the smallie ate it in those dark conditions. He also cirlcles around and you can see he keeps throwing to the same area that is lined up by a dead tree.

If you had the chance to sit down with one professional angler 1 on 1 and honestly talk FISHING...
It's like being stoned and talking to Buddah. ;D

I have had the opportunity to fish with Tommy Biffle, Denny Brauer, and others and it is cool to hear their stories and learn from them. But I would love to fish with guys like 5BL on Smith Mountain and learn the whole deep cranking thing, or go swimbait fishing with Bizzle on those Cali lakes, or see what I could learn from Catt when it comes to grass fishing. Just because these guys have done this and just about mastered the craft and I feel as though they are weakness areas for me.

Power & Finesse Balance While Smallmouth Fishing
No point in finesse or fishing slow for smallies. They're aggressive and vicious by nature. Even when I use a drop-shot, grub, or shakey head I'm fishing it fast. Drop it, move it a foot or two, burn it back in. A lot of the hits come when burning them back in to. Patiently finesse fishing for smallies is a waste of time imo.

Minn Kota Maxxum 70lb Opinions?
Maxxum Pro's are the best (I hate the Fortex, loud and had a mount break). They had some bad armatures in them but fixed that issue. Minn Kota's are super weedless, quiet, and you can beat them up without worrying.

JIGS, TO RATTLE OR NOT TO RATTLE...
All rattles all the time. Despite being not as realistic, I find rattles in clear water to make a huge difference.

Fellow Northeast fishermen...
So there is a huge swimbait craze in New England and my jig just can't just can't hang with those lunkers. So what are your top producers and colors? (I don't want to spend $300 on one Armageddon either ;D )

Lots of smashed TV's in New England on Christmas Eve...
Yea it was pretty crappy what they did to LBH. He was trying to do good for kids and it was Charlie's chance to look like a nice guy and not look like a ____________. The man has truely become a complete tool since getting is show on ESPN. The show on NESN isn't the challenge though it is just him fishing. I challenged him as well, go an email, responded to it, then never heard anything else. I have had my revenge though...finished higher than him in the Ocean State Open and other t's Webster, and Champlain. So I have beat Charlie Moore...hehehe 8-)

brand loyalty and the purchase decision
WHOOPS!!! I did not mean it like that, I appoligize. What I was referring to is shows and expos (I didn't even think of those who ask questions on this sight). The first thing that comes to mind is the demonstrations they do at things like the Berkley tank when they have 12 year olds showing people how to fish. I think people should buy reels and rods that they have handled and had experience with. I see so many things in the flea market section that have been recommended and such. When I recommend something or get a recommendation I would go handle it at a BPS or store and tried or call up a friend that might have one to try out. So this is what I meant. Sorry for the insert foot in mouth comment.

kidney stone
Beer, in the past year my girlfirend and grand father had one. Both of their doctors told them to drink beer. Made life much easier, guess it turns the stone into more of a sandy composition so it is much easier to pass. Also you usually need a lot of calcium in your diet along with the soda to create the stones. It is how they both got them.

Best I have found so far is a shot of it in a bottle of peach or raspberry Twisted Tea...or just straight Gentleman Jack. ;D

Crankbait Rod
When people are talking about there gear, how much it costs, or their private pond with a waterfall it gets real old, real fast. If you have money and are loaded cool, good for you, you have worked hard for it and deserve it. But there is no need to show it off and tell the world all the time. These days with people struggling to pay bills and the lucky ones have jobs, no need to rub it in others faces even if you don't mean to. Especially this time of year when people are trying to do so much on generally much less than in years past.

brand loyalty and the purchase decision
Well you can see why companies take care of and like pro-staff. I can't believe 52% of purchases are based on advice from "more experienced" or who they think are better fishermen than they are. How dumb are people?

Crankbait Rod
When people say $100-$150 they will usually go a little higher for a good rod. There are probably 25 choices for the $100-$150 price range, whereas if you go a little higher the number of choices is less than half. I was just offering a suggestion for a rod that I own and use since I knew it is a good rod vs something I had just read or heard about. No offense but instead of knocking the price issue, why not suggest a rod if you know of a good one in the original price range posted. You didn't... lol Not everyone is made of money as you seem to be. Go Powell, I have the M704CB. I primarily use it for shallow to mid-range cranking (around 10') I use it with big heavy Strike King 4S's and tiny deep diving Wiggle Wart's. I'm no amazing cranker like 5BL but use it for shallow stuff and it gets me by without loosing fish. You can find one in THAT RANGE for about $140. If you want to get into the 15' plus range ask 5BL.

BPS reels Junk? Or the Revo?
Easy, just get a Steez, you will enjoy it more and it will never cost you anymore than the original purchase price. 8-) LOL : BPS reels are disposable after two seasons of tough use in my book. They will never be in the same category as Abu, Daiwa, and Shimmy.
