These work sweet, I have caught some hawgs throwing these.

The Potomac does get extremely low when it is low tide and you need to be aware of these levels. There is a 3 foot difference betwwen the high and low tides. Did you go into a creek on the other side, if so that is Mattawoman Creek. Mattawoman Creek has a lot of bass and a lot of grass. I would also like to see some pictures. My son and I caught five on the Potomac last Friday and we also launched at Leesylvania. There are pictures under a thread in this section of the forum from my son and I.

Jay, Count me in, we are going to catch some hawgs Thursday morning. The water will be stained and a little cooler, I think that works to our advantage. We may have to try a few different spots on the lake to locate them but I have a good feeeling about Thursday morning.

The Potomac was tough this weekend. JCrzy4Bass and I lost 4 Friday and we only ended up catching 5, the biggest was 2.5 lbs. I am hoping to improve on that next weekend as we usually do much better than that. Mattawoman Creek had a lot of bass sitting in the grass but with low tide it was tough to get in there and pull them out. You should try Mattawoman when you get a chance.

Has anyone used these baits yet? If so have you had any luck with them? I saw Bill Dance pull in some hawgs with them so I bought a couple to try. My wife purchased a shirt for me and she sewed patches on it and gave this to me to wear fishing since she sees how addicted I am to bass fishing, so I have no problem with it. She also did a fleece up for the colder weather. The shirt the fleece and the patches were purchased at BPS and they are for products that I use. But I only fish for fun and have no ambitions of ever fishing for money.

Good job Trevor, glad to hear you had a good night fishing. I have never fished Braddock Lake before but it sounds like it is getting pretty active lately.

My friend from work was there this morning and caught a 4lb lmb in the stump field. He said someone immediately came over to him and attempted to fish in same area where he caught the lmb until he said something to them.

My friend threw spinnerbaits almost all night long and only caught a crappie. I did also notice a 2 feet long Koi swimming in the lake. We were there about 2 and a half hours.

Dan, yes it is public. I am waiting on the person that told me about it to tell me that he does not have a problem with me giving out the name and location.

Nitro, I can meet you but it would have to be after 3:30PM. I live close to Leesyvania State Park and I fish out of there normally. My son and I have success fishing Mattawoman Creek and Occoquan Bay.

Well I checked out one new lake today, I would actually call it a pond but it is a lake. The night started out with me loosing a bass that was about four pounds, maybe a little more. He hit a Manns -1 Baby and I pulled him in but he came off right as I was getting ready to lip him. The second fish was caught on a watermelon swim senko (weightless, the only way I fish them), he weighed 2lbs 4 ozs. The third fish was caught on a 1/2oz crawfish colored Rat-L-Trap and he was 3lbs 8ozs. All in all I would say it was a good night. My friend only managed to land a 1lb crappie. Here is the 2lb 4oz

My friend from work is going to check out the two lakes with me. I will report back on on what I find. Hopefully I will come back with a picture of a hawg from one of the lakes.

My son is my primary fishing partner and we are equally matched. Between the two of us we can cover areas very thorough. It is also cool because we get to share some great times together.

I am not a big fan of fishing in the rain but I will not let it stop me either.

Jay, I know how tough this must have been on you and Steph. Your mother and I had to deal withthe same decision a few years ago as you are well aware when we put down our dog Brandy. Time heals all and you two will get through this difficult time. Just try to remeber all of the good times you had with Felix, that will help you guys get over this. Dad
