Entry Fees
What is the most you have ever paid to fish a Bass tournament? I fished some larger tournaments years ago that had $1,000.00 entry fees for three days. Haven't fished any of the larger ones in quite a few years. I know some go as high as 7,500.00. Just wondering what the rest have paid over the years. Within the last 7-8 years I have not fished a tournament that cost over 300.00

Falcon Lake Fishing
The Velleno creek area or down around the dam would be my two sugestions. Be aware if you have never been down there. Everything growing, crawling, or flying down there will bite, scratch, and/or sting you. The terain is rough and thick. It will be a job walking the bank unless you can get some access to some private areas that have been cleared. Good hunting, there are some monster bass in that lake. You can go on line at www.falconlaketackle.com and check everything out. PM me and I will help you if you need any more information

The death of sportsmanship??? ( not too long)
Some people are just that way. Reguardless of the business they are insecure types that must be number one in their eyes. They cannot seem to acomplish this so they self promote to the point that it becomes an obsession that they can never live up too without trying to to make all others lesser in their minds. They have delusions of grandur that need to be addressed. Sizes and speeds of their boats would be the most provocative way to announce their standing in the scheme of things. These types tend to be the most insecure and unhappy people in the world. Several years ago we had a socalled self promoted stick join our bass club to win some money. He left us to fish BASS and lasted a little less than two years on the BASS circuit. He did win money on the circuit(word we got he could not get along with Fish Fishburn).; however he never won a dime in any of our club tournaments. Everyone voted him down when he tried to rejoin our club. No one wanted to listen to his chest pounding.

Co-Angler Advice
Co-anglers: Know the rules, follow the rules, feel your boater out. Some will talk and give up information(I sure will), and help you out. I enjoy it when my co-angler is catching fish. I always keep an open ear and learn from each day with one. I watch the co-angler as he will give out information without knowing it. If he is fishing faster or slower and catching fish it will allow me to make adjustments as I see the need. Co-anglers, stand your ground. Do not be intimidated. You have paid for the right to fish, get every pennys worth as long as it is allowed. Speaking of pennies, discuss the split the night before when you are discussing the time to meet and what you will be fishing. Get each others phone number incase one oversleeps or has vehicile trouble in the early morning. As for how the day goes remember you have a 50% shot of making this a good day to remember or one you would love to forget. If the boater is one that likes to keep to himself, respect that and try to get the most by watching instead of forcing the issue. You do not have to become big buds for this to be a great learning experience for you. Finally, if this is more than a one day tournament do not dare to take your second day draw to the areas you caught fish the day before. This will get you DQd fast.

Christmas Theft
Missing this morning: Lighted igloo, Lighted buck and doe, lighted packages, and a lighted bell that was up on my house. They had to have a latter to even reach the dang bell(or on someone's shoulders). Called the police...They showed(finally) at 11:30. Did not seem interested in even taking a report. I give up. You can't have a dang thing anymore. Maybe the crap will shortout and cause a fire when they hook the crap up. Merry ------- Christmas...

Take some Dawn soap and wash(Scrub) your rod handles also. Everything you touch goes right back on your hands otherwise. It also makes them look new again.

Mall shootings in Nebraska????
Sad, Sad, Sad, what a permanent solution to a tempory problem. We had a young man come into our building several years ago rode the elevator to the 12th floor, walked out and jumped into the fountain 10 minutes before the lunch hour. i know there are some seriously ill individuals out there but there should be some kind of help.
