Carried a cheap Pfluger reel back to Academy, got in store credit, decided to purchase a Diawa reel they had marked down from 99.00 to 66.98. They put the reel in a box but when I checked out it scanned 159.95. I got the mgr. and he told me they mixed the reel and box up so do to their error they would let me have the above reel for the 66.98. I have never been a Diawa man but I think this is a pretty sweet reel. Am I wrong or is this a quality reel? It is not black it is the silver reel that they call their coastal model. Did I get a decent buy?It has 10 ball bearings and has Magforce Z on the side and Team Diawa Advantage on the other side. Thanks

Does anyone else on this site ever drill and put superglue in their traps to silence them? I have several that I have done this to and it really makes a difference when I follow someone through an area that has been hammered with loud traps. As long as the water is not to stained I have noticed a big difference in my catch ratio.

For all you suffering I went to Lake Conroe for four hours over the weekend. for those that do not know it is located 45 minutes north of Houston and about 35,000 acres. Many boat docks and lots of hydrilla(they released a lot of grass carp last year). Jerk baits, baby brushhogs, and wacky worms were the ticket for me. Not a lot of fish(11) in the four hours. Most caught skipping WW under the docks and flipping the baby brushhog around the outsides of grass along creek breaks. Out of the 11 only four were keepers(16 in. minimum) with the largest just over 4 lbs. Could have caught bass on a crankbait I am sure, but just not into the chunking and winding thing that day.

We have lots of cougar siteings even around the Houston area(to the NE and SE areas). It is amazing that the encounters are not more often. Sorry to hear about your dog. I too would have been hunting whatever got my dog. Good hunting.

I bounce mine off anything I can stear them into. In fact I try to fish a crank that dives 10-15 ft. in shallower water so it will dig up the bottom if it is clay, gravel, or such.

I never use snaps on anything. I have a fear of them coming open. Only takes 30 sec. to tie on a new one. If you are in too big a hury to tie a knot you might be fishing to fast...

Merry Christmas! When I'm told I cannot say it anymore or am arrested for saying it I will find another country, move there, speak the english language there, and apply for every benefit I can scam off their government. Maybe even send some money home every week also...If there are no bass there I will illegilly expand the bass's range to suit myself. Kinda like all these other critters everyone from everywhere else introduces into our waters for their enjoyment.

Your fault. You should have given your mother a break and cleaned your own room. It's good for you to help her out. I bet she even cooks, washes your clothes, and gives you money and love every now and then. Give her something in return. Clean up your own mess. She will love you even more(or think you are hiding something).

My bird dog whimpers and moves his legs like he is running some times when he is asleep. Any one know why? He's fixed and I don't know what he's dreaming of or if he is running from a giant tom cat. Any suggestions???
