  1. Matt, the jury is out and will be for a while.
  2. Sucks, hope you get well quick.
  3. Harmless water snake
  4. Nope, there will be no championship game at season's end.
  5. I know it's a lot of trouble, but you can always remove a wheel and tire. If the dang thieves want it though they'll just drag it off anyway. Hate to hear things like this.
  6. Nice job, congratulations!
  7. What makes you think we don't have to fish against the Tommy Martins, Todd Faircloths, etc, crews on our weekend tournaments here in Texas and louisiana? It's all the same. the touring pros fish these circuits whenever they have the chance. They have to go out and compete just like the rest. They have their good days and their bad days, just not as many bad as the rest of us, but they can and do get beat. You can't draw a line. They should be allowed to fish. If you're not happy fishing against the best you should pick another lesser circuit. JMO.
  8. Great, they have decided not to play a championship game? What are they gonna call themselves until they add on? Maybe Texas and the nine dwarfs. Maybe not, I don't think they can even win it this year. Oklahoma will be the team to beat. Wonder if any of the remaining are considering the C-USA conference? I bet that's a big check. SEC rules!
  9. Exactly why I will only fish a hand operated motor. Too many lost hours of fishing fighting the issues with the switches and cables on the foot operated models. I just never have that problem, ever.
  10. Everything I fish is on a bait caster. the lighter stuff works fine if you pick the right rod and reel set up to fish it with. I have one rig that is set up with either 6 or 8 lb. test. It is a bait caster with a saltwater speckled trout rod. I never break off and you can throw the lighter stuff a long way. Just what I prefer.
  11. Our lakes have lots of grass in them. When it mats up i prefer a heavy jig/craw worm combo that will have no problem breaking through the top. It will fall quickly and that's what i want. I want that fish to strike out of a reflex instead of getting a good look at it and recognizing it for what it really is. I fish vertical. Once it hits the bottom I'll pick it up once and drop it back. If no bite, i bring it in and put it elsewhere. I concentrate on ditches, points, humps, and creek bends under the grass. They are easy to spot so i don't waste a lot of time trying to fish wide areas that usually don't produce. Early morning I concentrate on the inside grassline. As the sun gets up I move out to the outer grassline and look for scattered patches of grass out away from the main growth. Most fishermen won't take the time to look for these areas. They will have less pressure and lots of my larger fish come from these scattered areas. Good luck
  12. Cloud cover and a wind. Gotta love it on a hot summer day. The fish like it to.
  13. Not NO, but HELL NO!
  14. Not sure, but the picture shows an exact duplicate of my 1988 skeeter Starfire 175. I mean it is exact from what I can see of the interior. Might be a special line of boats built by skeeter for another company. The top cap is the same until you get to the rear of the cap where the hand rails attach.
  15. X2 Now the Big 12 can go RIP in the PAC what ever the hell they care to call it.
  16. Been the same since I signed up.
  17. I wish, that would have won the boat.
  18. Good job by all. Way past time for a slap on the hand for breaking our game laws. I wonder why they did not take their trucks. They were a part of the reason they were there and able to commit the crime. Should have taken every piece of equipment used in the offense.
  19. True, but the other 5 pounder Saturday at 2:15 was on the dreaded Chrome/Blueback Trap in 4' of water, just off a big bream bed . I didn't figure you wanted to mention that. LOL.
  20. so why didn't you put on a weightless senko? 8-) I did and still didnt get bit did you take notice of what he was doing differently?
  21. I feel bad about it. I should have checked a little closer. Didn't even dawn on me a little later when I weighed my fish that read 6lbs 14oz. Thankfully I had saved them and went back and looked this morning. I certainly owe him an appology. Sorry Mike.
  22. Just to set the record straight. I weighed and put the net under both fish. 7lbs 10 oz. 5lbs 8oz. My scales are set pounds and ounces. He did not even bother to tell ya'll that he caught another five pounder Saturday afternoon thirty minutes before weighin. Congratulations Mike on three very good fish and I enjoyed the weekend. Jack
