  1. Correctly repairing the transom will run3,000-4,000 Powerhead will run around 3,000 Way too much money to put into a boat this old.
  2. Ridiculous rule. I too never take any money from my non boater partner. I personally would never join a club that required the non boater to pay a boater's entry fee either. This is a club of boaters setting up rules to fund the boaters expenses.
  3. Several clubs on the north side of Houston and in the Conroe area. PM sent
  4. Riprap is in any direction you want to run from the lighthouse. You have it up lake around bridges, roads,. Down lake at the dam, across the lake toward Caney creek, the 1097 bridge, it's everywhere.
  5. Catt why don't we try to get together somewhere on Friday night so everyone can get to know each other. Any thoughts on where we might have a meal?
  6. Lake Fork Tackle 7 1/4 Ring worms Senkos Large Craw Worms of your choice Lizards Colors: Watermellon/Red Junebug/red PB&J Camo Black/Blue
  7. Welcome to the site.
  8. We covered this in third grade. 22.5=22.4, it's a tie.
  9. I fish it a lot. Willing to help anyone that needs it. Jigs are producing the best right now for me. Long points, docks off the sides of these points with the deeper water, riprap, and brushpiles will always produce on this lake. Jack
  10. Jigs: 3/8oz. Black/Blue with a Zoom Creepy Crawler Black/blue Brown Zoom Creepy Crawler in Cinnamon/Purple or Green Pumpkin/Purple Larger grass jigs I like the PB,&J or Camo colors with the either the Zoom Super Speed Craw in Green Pumpkin/Purple, Gene Larew craw in Green Pumpkin/Orange pinchers, or the Ultravibe Speed Craw in Black Sapphire behind the Black/Blue
  11. I use a 4x8 pegboard in my garage. Just takes a glance to see what needs to be refilled. When it comes time to hit the water I just take what I want and return them at the end of the trip. In my boat I have a section set aside that holds the packages up in order from smaller to larger. Takes just a moment to flip through to the bag I want.
  12. Use a piece of wood and a large hammer. That should do it. If you cannot get to it just leave it where it is. Will hurt nothing. You could also use a small grinder and cut it along one edge. Just take care to not cut into the original glass in the floor of the boat.
  13. Well that just sucks. Hate to hear that. Prayers to the family.
  14. Well if you just can't live with it and BPS will not exchange it shoot me a pm with a price and I'll try to take it off your hands. Jack
  15. Definately use the closed cell foam. Otherwise it will absorbe everything it contacts. Will end up weighing ten times what it started at.
  16. 10+ If it gets late in the year I'll go spend a few days on Falcon. That should do it.
  17. Agreed some tournaments don't care... It's called a polygraph. Winners in the larger tournaments, including the Sealy tournament, are required to pass one and also, the boat must pass an onboard check. They do board and check them. Instead of trying to work the system, just borrow a boat to fish these tournaments. Lots better than trying to lie your way through. Insurance is required to fish these tournaments also. If you lied about the horsepower on your insurance application you have just started the ball rolling. You will now have to cover each lie on through. It's not worth it. Do the right thing.
  18. Heck it's even bad here in Texas. Wind, sleet, snow, just does not make it fun. I had plans for the middle of the week, but now we have sleet and snow in our forcast for the Houston area(Again).
  19. Catt, Dan(txfisherman) just pm'd me and wants to fish with me. I am now partnered up. Add him to the list. Jack
  20. No bananas in the boat No fish on the first cast Don't get the net out until you need it.
  21. Yes, I fish them to. Rayburn and Toledo are always fun. Get in line to launch early. Last year I got to the ramp at 4:30 and the line was 1/4 mile long. Carry a radio and enjoy.
  22. Catt, let's leave my back seat open just in case we have a late entry that wants to fish. If it gets down to it and it is still open then I will bring someone from our club if need be. Just think we need an option for a non boater. What you think?
  23. That's good for me if everyone else is ok with it. Wesley, the live release tank on the trailer will not be available the weekend of the 27th. Probably don't need it though. I'll see if the scales will be available and let you know. Jack
  24. March 27th is good with me. Did not realize it was Easter weekend. I have tournaments the 20th and 27th of Feb., the 10th, and 17th of April, March 7th,& 13th, that I am committed to so far. Wife is much happier if we don't fish that weekend.
