  1. 24/7 Never had to pull it.
  2. Never. Just another spot that can fail.
  3. I run a carb'd merc to. Best 4400-4600.
  4. Nice fish. Were you fishing the hot water discharge area?
  5. They could win millions with a counter suit. I bet it's all settled without any of us ever knowing the results. They both will continue to produce, market, and sell the idea.
  6. Lots of great advice about fishing as a non boater that you should follow. You will learn a lot. Some suggested that you would also learn the boaters "sweet spots". That's great to, but remember if you get the reputation of going back and burning someone's spot it will get around. If a boater carries you to an area, respect it. Lakes are free, just don't burn it up, or worse, carry someone else and show them how to fish it. So learn as much as you can, and develope your areas to fish. Plenty out there that is untouched. Good luck.
  7. And how many attorneys will be calling him to try to sue you since you hit him from the rear. Good luck, glad you were not injured.
  8. Prefishing is about learning how to navigate new water, locating fish, setting patterns. It should not be about: Hiring a guide to put you on fish. Following a guide. Having a local prefish for you(For pay of course). Acquiring GPS cordinates and having them checked daily. Who can pay the most for information. Who has developed the group with the most current data. Unfortunately it is done regularly on all the circuits.
  9. Practicing up Mike?
  10. B Break O Out A Another T Thousand Enjoy...
  11. Probably be more beneficial if you just left it alone instead of taking the chance of putting something in there that might be stressful to your fish. My boat came from the factory with a light color and a clear devider. It has not hurt them yet. JMO.
  12. If you are not set up to do it just run it by a shop and have them check it out. I'm betting everything is ok.
  13. Most of the temp sensors will go off at 190*. When you get over 200* you can start piston damage. That's why I said you need to check it. There is also the possibility that the new gauge is defective.
  14. Welcome to the forum.
  15. FYI, I assumed in august of 09 with my Mercury. Total cost: $5,063.23 Make sure...Or pay the price.
  16. They're all bad. Trying not to think about them.
  17. Is the overheat sensor hooked up and working correctly? Has it gone off? You need to do this: Run a compression check. If the thermostants have not been changed lately pull them and check them, or just go ahead and replace them. You are probably ok, but check it out. Compression should not vary over 10% from each cylinder. If it sits 120+ you should be good to go. If the cylinders are in the 90-100 range it is weak.
  18. Yep, if it's like mine it will be towels, quilts, and diapers.
  19. Hey Mike...The boat is supposed to be in the garage and the truck out. Do you have power?
  20. Exactly why aliens could never conquer us. They could never survive all our germs. LOL.
  21. I have five 7:1.1 reels and am going to get more. It works well for the suggestions allready mentioned. I like it as it allows me to get the lure in on the last half of the cast quicker to make another. This allows me a few more cast for the day. I still use a 3:8.1 for DD22s and I have several 5:1.1s and some 6:4.1s, but give me the high speed for anything other than the deep diving cranks any day.
  22. Way past time for this section to be included. Welcome ladies, and the best of luck to each and every one of you. Jack
