  1. Pm'd you some cordinates.
  2. Thursday evening on Rayburn $35.00(Last year) entry Fished from April every week until championship in October Pays three places plus first and second big bass 50-65 boats each week
  3. They show up every now and then. Didn't buy them then, and not now.
  4. X2, but they are about the same.
  5. Cold seize, warm those puppies up before hammering down. I had a thread about a month ago here talking about it.
  6. Looks like a cold seize. If the water/air was very cold it can happen. May or may not be covered. Hopefully it is. Keep us posted, and yes, the block may be repaireable, but don't try JB Weld. If it can be, only a specialized shop can do it right. Gonna be a lot more to repair that block than what you see. There is a shop up in Minnesota or the Wisconsin area that specializes in this type of repair. If you need the number, let me know and I will find it for you. Good luck, Jack
  7. If you abuse them they will eventually encounter problems. Otherwise they should last a lifetime.
  8. We all have stupid mistakes that, reguardless of time on the water keep jumping up to bite us. Bet you will know the answer the next time it happens. It's called experience. good luck
  9. Got to be the adjustments. That combo should have no problem with the smaller lures.
  10. Small floor jack, or a block of 4X4 that I cut to use if I cannot get it under the axle. The block will work on a tandum trailer only though.
  11. you might want to think about changing mechanics. I know it will cost you more, but piece of mind means a lot. This guy may not know as much as he is telling you.
  12. If I ever do the carpet in my boat again it will definately have the mat installed.
  13. I prefer the Sunday night at midnight to friday morning off limits. Give everyone one day to go check out everything. Evens the field. Several anglers I know could benefit from the off limits. They come in and talk about all the fish they catch on the prefish days and then become a non issue during the tournament. They never did learn to not stick all their fish before the tournament starts. So in this instance it hurts them. I would love to name names, but I won't. If they read this they will now know why I refuse to partner up with them. Jack
  14. Yep, and if you raise them right it is never a problem. Except for mother's day, easter, and family situations that crop up regurarly...LOL.
  15. I hope they have fun. I ain't going near one of those things. S :-?hotgun or 30.06 from a distance .
  16. If that does not fix the problem it is probably trash in the system. Start with the easy things first. clean fuel, clean tanks, fuel pump, install an inline fuel filter and change it out after you run the engine a time or two. No need to go into the carbs unless you have to. If it comes to the carbs, have it done professionally. you will have heck adjusting everything if it is as you say and you have no experience with engines. Change the water pump impeller and thermostats soon if it has not been serviced in the last year or two. good luck
  17. Same here. Houston called for work. Every chance and I am back up at the lake. Conroe is waking up. Three to five feet has a lot more fish than it had last week. Whatever you fish make sure you slow way down. Shakey head will produce, but draws a lot more strikes if you refrain from shaking it and just pick it up with the rod tip and allow it to move on a tight line back to the bottom. If you are fishing a crank or rogue type lure, pause for as long as you can stand it and move it with the rod tip after you get it down. a suspending lure will definately outfish one that rises right now. I was on the lake two days this week and the amount of fish in the shallows willing to bite showed a marked improvement from monday to thursday. Water temps are climbing to the mid 50s. Good luck
  18. I bought this little cheap reel several years ago just on a whim. Not sure where or why I even purchased it. I rigged it up to throw my wacky worms with and matched it with a 6'6" American Rodsmith AT-66MHC. One of the best purchases I ever made. I abuse it and other than a drop of oil on the spool shaft once or twice a year I have never had a minutes trouble with it. Figured it would be a catchup if I ever needed a spare reel in a pinch. It just keeps on working. It's the reel that just gets left in the bottom of the rod locker and only sees the light of day after I hit the water. Surprised me.
  19. Good job catt. i'm headed back to conroe today. Will let you know how it goes.
