Your owner/operator manuel addresses this with pictures to help. If you do not have one go to the company website and download one.

Linda Colt leaves Lowrance
Update on Linda Colt. A release was issued yesterday by Louis Chemi at Navico stating that the company has taken another look at the issues. The release stated that the company was in current negotiations with Linda. Sad companies never bother to address employee concerns and work site procedures before making decisions. It's all about the bottom line. The real issue that needs to be addressed is their customer service department. Not whether to bring Linda back or not. They need educated, trained, employees that are willing to do the job.

Linda Colt leaves Lowrance
She was the ONLY one that I ever had any confidence in that maned the phones at Navico. I sent her two superiors an email yesterday. Here it is word for word. louis.chemi@navico.com, jeanine.coleman@navico.com Friends, I do not know either of you; however, I know Linda. I was shocked to hear the news yesterday concerning her termination. What do I/we do now? She was the only person that ever showed any interest in solving my problems with your units. The following units currently mounted on my boat will now be listed in the "For Sale" sections of several internet sites I visit. LMS480M X-125 LMS522c/igps Gentlemen/ladies, your customer service is absolutely the "Bottom of the Barrell". Without Linda there will be no reason to "Fight the Fight" any longer. Plans were to purchase two new HDS units this spring. In light of yesterday's news, it will now be Humminbird. Thank you, Jack Yates

Linda Colt leaves Lowrance
Sad news for all of us that depended on her for help. She has been forced out. Lowrance will suffer for this decision. No idea what I/we will do now. Just sucks, Jack

In a tournament...
Great questions, unfortunately sharp minds have been trying to figure that out since man picked up a switch and tied a hook made of bone to the line. When to go or stay. All I can tell you is let your instincts be your best guide. I have this problem to. I may hit one spot and be gone in five minutes(It just does not feel right). Next spot I might drop off plane, cut the outboard, and then leave without a cast. Just use your instincts, everyone else does. I try to give a spot a real try if I decide to fish it. Fish the top of the water column, then mid depth, and last out deeper(As to number of cast in each column, heck, who knows). Problem is the fish may turn on either before you arrived or after you leave. It's all about timing. In order to time an area or spot you just have to have the time to fish it at different times of day. Someone fishing one or two days just does not have the time. Five little ones or go for the big bite. I'm going for the big bite. You will usually catch enough small ones while doing that. Dang, I got way off track on this, but you would have to write a chapter, or a book to cover it well. Jack

My family lives in Lakeside Village in Rockwall right on the lake. I'm up there a lot. If you want to go just let me know.

Help with Ray Hubbard
Go to the Dalrock Ramp just east of the Bass Pro Shop store. You can fish on the right. After that move to the left of the ramp until you get to the Interstate. You will then have several miles of chunk rock to fish. Good fishing to, just count the number of bass boats working up and down it.

BassBoat Performance
Johnny, no disrespect meant, but if you are not familiar with pads, shaft center lines, and some of the other things you are going to hear, you will be better off taking your boat to a shop and let them walk you through the options. Every one on this site(Me included), will have opinions that differ in regards to equipment, measurements, and brand loyalty. Equipment failure will be possible if the heights are off, water pressure drops, etc., so take it somewhere and let someone get started on it that will have the boat in their possession and can put it through a test on the water. Question? Who in their right mind would turn someone lose in a high 70 mph boat knowing that they have no clue as to pads, prop center lines, chine walk, or any other number of things the operator should be familiar with? That's what gets people killed!!! Jack Welcome to the forum.

LMS480 or Lowrance GPS Help
Yea I know. The antenna is mounted in the back just in front of my navigation light base. FYI, found the problem a few minutes ago. Bad wire at the connection just in front of the inline fuse(Of course I use fuses). Gonna keep those Lowrance units a while longer. The wrap wouldn't look to swift with the Lowrance logo cut out of each side. LOL. Thanks for the help guys. Jack

LMS480 or Lowrance GPS Help
I bought a 480 off another site and when I hooked it up I am getting a "GPS not responding" error message. Did the hard reset and checked all connections but it did not help. I ordered another antenna but it has not come in yet. Any suggestions as to something I am missing? If it's brain fade someone throw something at me. Previous owner swears the antenna was ok. Unit was cheap enough, talked to the seller, and I am not asking for any monetary help nor am I sending it back. Sonar and everything else works great. In fact it is a new replacement from Lowrance that has never been installed. Need some ideas. Thanks, Jack

Tuscaloosa Lake (low weight tournament)
Would have to have been there, but I've fished that lake a dozen times over the years and it can be extremely tough.
-
What's the farthest you've seen?
Over a 100 miles. The big boys have even come out of the mouths into the ocean and crossed over to another river and then run up it to fish. This is common in south Louisiana. I've run 50+ on occasion years ago, but don't do it anymore. Usually a run from the Rayburn dam up the Attoyac or Angelina river can easily be over 50 miles one way.

So Disappointed!!!
Well let's see. $3.00 a week is 12.00 a month(15.00 several months). That's a lucky craft lure. No lotto here.
