Pricey,but I like the tru tungsten force beads for the bead rig.They are loud and wont break from the tungsten.They too come in colors. My personal opinion is just simply use black weights.I dont like flashy silver.MY .02 that is.

I too have the affliction of re-rigging most of my rods after I get to the lake. When I have a bad day, I simply must go the tackle store and get some cool new toy.Guess it makes me feel better. When I am getting skunked I'll play around with the baby alligators just so I can feel something pull like hell on my line.Also will put something on with large trebles and repetedly cast into schools of tilapia in the hopes to snag one of those pieces of trash. Have target competions with my buddy to see who can hit the bird,duck,turtle,or piece of floating trash. I smoke like a chimney while fishing.Gotta have after fish smokes,but on the flip side, smoke a lot when I cant get a bite. I fish mostly small ponds and I like to try to make sure I am the only one who is fishing it.When onlookers from shore ask"what do you catch in here?" I promtly reply bluegills,even though I have 6 rods,2 jumbo soft tackle packs and a 24 inch duffel bag full of soft plastics. I like to do an "IKE" after catching a dink when people on shore see me fishing .They usually give a bewildered look and walk away. I guess Im not the only one who takes the entire peg of baits off at the store and examines each and every one. When buyin plastics I take them out and feel them,smell them,and hold them up to the ceiling lights to check translucency and flake content.Kinda like a junkie making a heroin deal and sampling the goods LOL.

Yep,thats how to rig it,except I "skin hook" the point to get it through the junk without snagging.

That summer toad color you mentioned is a killer.Great color on the craws too. I'm syked over the rage products but it really didnt seem like the toad had much action on the fall or twitchin under water.I'm sorta stuck on the sizmics for that.I rig em with a slight bend in the body and it walkes the dog under water.

Totally agree with littlefisher and pondhopper.I am dying to get a hold of a real piece of equipment.I am just making due with what O got at the time.

As for baits to "learn" on, I would definitely have to say a senko,trickworm,fluke,and tube are by far the best for skipping. Fishing around trees??? Try to put a small nail in the rear of a senko or trickworm and you dont even have to try to skip it.It just does it.

Nope.You gotta buzz it along or it sinks. On that note,I'm not too sure I like the action of it under water.I'll stick with my sizmics for dropping into holes.

I am very good at flippin with a spinning rod too.Part of it requires you to always use your hand to close the bail,more control. I dont see any way possible that you can control your presentation while pitching though.You cannot feather your casts for quiet entry,or really have total control over where it lands.I also have trouble pitching under low hanging trees.With a baitcaster I can just wing it under them with an underhand cast.I also cannot get the distance when pitching with a spinning outfit. I dont prefer a spinning outfit,but I have gotten really good at using them.I dont own any baitcasting,but I use my friends every so often.Need the $$$ to get me some decent baitcasting equipment.I dont go cheap.

Bull frogs cormorants seagulls countless turtles(they have a thing for t-rigged worms) Funny this post came up. Just yesterday me and one of my pals were flipping some cattails.Threw a perfect flip, and no sooner my rage craw sunk, my drag started screamin.DUDE! It must be a huge catfish.It aint no bass!Is it a huge bowfin?!! When the jon boat started dragging at about the same speed as my trolling motor on high,I figured it had to be a gator.Not one of those little 3-4 footers I play with all the time.This one was around 10 foot. After fighting with it for around 20 mins and having my boat dragged about 100 yards.It slowly surfaced.Once I saw it 5 feet from me I freaked and screamed "cut the line"! That was a hell of a fun time! Wish I could of got that moment on camera :-/

I got four of them since they look soo cool.I have yet to haul anything to the boat except buckets of water. Me and jerkbaits dont get along though.I am sure it is a good lure.

Not sure about the eclipse,but it was an all day fish fest today here in Florida.Awesome day! was out for 10 hors couldnt help it.

I've never heard of having to have a special permit or anything.I do however know that there are certain species that they do not want you too shoot.IE: a bedding female largemouth. Best thing to do would be to read the hand book that comes with your fishing license.It will usually list the specific numbers of species that can be "harvested" and also the methods of which they can be taken.If not then check with your state wildlife commission.Numbers and harvesting methods can vary from state to state. I dont think anyone could post an exact website,unless they live in the same state as you.You may want to try your states website.Just google it.Worst case you may find a phone number to call and ask for the info you need on bowfishing regulations.

Seen them doing it on angling edge one day with the berkley sinking minnows they were plugging for the day.Havent really tried it yet as wacky isnt my thing....May have to change that this year :-?

It wont come out of the water.You would have to pull it real hard and fast to get it to the top.Its made to stay down. I got one.Like the look and action,but I think its a "sight lure" to be used in clear water or better yet salt water.It doesnt cause the commotion on top as a regular spook type will. Almost all the water I fish around these parts is pretty stained. Try it when you know the fish are high in the water collumn,but wont hit a splashy topwater.

There is no issue with it rolling over,amazingly.Just be sure to rig with the tail up.

great place to get some decent baits and terminal tackle.....until they run out.Then good luck,they wont restock.So if you see something you like buy all of them.

maybe cuz some people such as myself find it kind of amusing.

The shad rap RS is a plastic model with a rattle and different paint schemes.Diving depths are the same as with the standard shad rap in the same sizes. The diving depth is listed on the box for each.The lower number is the average depth on an average cast with approx 10lb line or equivalent dia.The higher number is normally to give you an idea of what it will do if trolled.

Sometimes,and this includes soft plastics too. Heavy cover/grass use one Low light and or poor water quality use one Clear water sometimes dont use it. If I have been beating up the fish with a rattle in my bait lately,I take it out,and maybe even downsize.

The rage is 2x durable I have caught up to 15 fish on one bait flipping,and part of that was after one of the claws was ripped off. Not knocking the paca,it has its time and place too,and was said before,I can put a large tube rattle in it for extra loudness.Better yet try a rattle weight with a tube rattle once. 8-)
