Bass Attractants??
Carolina lunker sauce and megastrike are my favorites. I too believe that the scent can make a difference at times on the hookset. Also when the bite is tough and you have to saturate the same area over and over and fish very slowly to get a bite I think it helps. After so many casts to an area the scent will eventually permeate the area and stay there. I'm a big believer in using them at night also. Fast moving lures, action type baits, spinners, cranks and such IMO it doesnt make a s--t of difference. If the fish is gonna strike its gonna strike. It will never smell the bait or even taste it because its getting some major dental work already.

SOFT LANDING
Question is:When you say side cast are you using a roll cast technique? This, by nature, also allows your bait to travel at a lower trajectory, along with getting a "smart thumb" to feather the cast. I dont use jigs much but I use this technique when trying to cast a bait farther than I can pitch it using heavily weighted soft plastics, spinnerbaits, and large topwaters such as a super spook. Whats a roll cast? Try the search, or I or someone else can answer you back.

Metallica Fans!---St. Anger?
Sorry Dave, but after the Black album they pretty much have been on a downward spiral and anger is a total joke piece of turd.I took it to two different used cd shops and they didnt want it since they had a whole stack already collecting dust on the shelf. Everyone has different opinions on music though.Nothing wrong with that. BTW its still pretty cool that you are a Metallica fan.

New senko rig.
x2 The allure of this kind of rig is the way the ends wiggle and the way the bait makes a U shape when raised back up.When hooked through the middle, that is. I for one am always glad to hear new rigging methods for plastics.Love to play around. The more far out the better. The guy who said rig one end with a weight is on to something, I think.Interesting.

Fishing Rattle Traps
x2 what the other fellows said, but my most productive is a yo yo retrieve.Get it to the desired depth range and either pull up on the rod or rip it aggressively upwards then real the slack as you lower your rod. Also around drop offs and points I sometimes let it sink clear to the bottom and let it sit for a sec then rip it upwards with a single or double pump action then let it settle again.

Senko type baits???
hard piece of leather junk!

Strike king KING SHAD
never thought of using it at night :-/ good idea I'll try... So Infidel what is the most productive way to fish this thing anyway.Rippin or crankin?? I own 2 of them and got to catch something someday on it LoL

zoom super fluke
- Strike king KING SHAD
I dont like the action on this lure.I think it looks mechanical.I havent even caught a glance from a fish after fishing with them extensively. IMO its a wannabe swimbait, but admittingly, I dont know jack about swimbaits anyway either. Different baits work in different waters so I may not be applying it to the correct situations...... nice colors though.- Anyone use rattles with their plastics?
If you really want to rattle their brains use one of those Gambler rattlin weights and a worm insert also.Double the fun! I have great success with that at night and in the generally nasty water thats around here. Speaking of tube rattles try the paca craw at night with a glass tube rattle and of course one of the previously mentioned rattlin weights.- best scents ???
megastrike and carolina lunker sauce- biggest french fry EVER
How many "courics" did it weigh?- biffle-o
IMO, and dont take it wrong but..how in gods name does a bass eat a 10 inch worm or 6 inch senko and get the hook?? Easy, they inhale their pray.I dont see how the tail could be an issue unless its a major dink smacking the lure. I havent used this lure yet, but have seen them.Pretty cool!- Post Counts?
W-G-A-F ? I mean really.- Bait monkey and a review of a LC crank
Cant go wrong with them trickworms round florida!- spring time showers
Lets hear it for the translators!!!- The Bridge
Amen Brother!- Awesome Trick Shot
He got the idea from me : Seriously though, thats pretty spectacular! Think about the time it took to set up that kind of perfection, and all the trial and failure.- Bait monkey and a review of a LC crank
Coat your baits with some clear coat nail polish hardener to keep the hook scrapes to a minimum.Better yet find some with some glitter. When you are shopping in the nail polish section make sure you exclaim that this color is "super fabulous" ;D- zoom super fluke
Heres another one:How bout a fluke rigged backwards with a nail weight in the front :-? (what the hell is this guy talkin about??!!) : - Strike king KING SHAD
