  1. It is because of the salt content that controls the sink rate.
  2. In particular I use a 2/0 regular offset shank wom hook(owner) for a 7.5 inch worm.If the body of the worm is thicker then I use a 3/0. I dont like EWG hooks for standard worms but always use them for thicker baits, senkos, flukes, creatures. As far as using a 1/0 hook is concerned:Its not the length of the hook thats the problem, its the amount of gap in the hook. The hook is set when you yank the bait back out through the fishs jaws.If the gap is all plugged with plastic the hook will slide through the fishs mouth instead of into it. If this makes sense,I'm not good at explaining things always :-/
  3. This thread is freakin me out!
  4. Clouds,rain,gloom,fog,wind...love it,and dont mind getting wet. Around Florida the fishing really sucks on sunny days, high skies,it's for the birds.
  5. ....And the smell of bannanas is wafting through the air : God I cant wait until I get a hold of some of these! I have been saying for a while they need a bigger one. Cant wait to toss it on a c rig!
  6. tough decision...But I would have to concur with senko77 the 3/32 picasso jig head is a killer! But It would be a junebug or green pumkin worm
  7. Good stuff! LOL ;D I have been wondering what the hell a tullie is also! One other thing to add is heavy rod, reel, and line dont always matter. You will still lose plenty of fish if your deep in the forest. The hook protruding from the fishs mouth has a tendency to hang up in the stalks and they leverage themselves off frequently .A lot of times you got to go in after them when they get pinned. > Therefore I also prefer a very long rod also when fishing these.I use an 8 ft heavy action so I can yank em upwards
  8. In general it helps if you have a crank that floats up quickly at least. Also I have no idea what kind of water depth your talkin about but one other suggestion would be to try the floating rattle trap or suspending red zone trap. These dont go nearly as deep.
  9. Im with you there but I like a white blade on a cloudy day.
  10. Superline is a darn good hook but....not welded shut. :-/
  11. Agreed 100% since I mostly use braid. I take a piece of heavy mono or fluoro and tie a knot on first, then cut it off to "block" the gap. Most times though I just tie the braid on 2 or even 3 times then cut the line at the knot and slide the pieces over and dont have any problems after doing that. Most times if I cut a hook off to fish something else or change sizes I just leave the knot on the hook then its ready next time I tie it on. There is absolutely nothing worse than laying back on a pig and hearing that "pop"!!!! Even still though...why cant the makers come up with a design with no gap at the line tie :-?
  12. Senko is a "soft stick"
  13. If I go to a watermelon I simply love the watermelon black and red flake senko. Its very dark yet still has the natural look.
  14. OR when someone on the bank asks what kind of fish that is and I tell em bluegill.
  15. Dig the craws! What can I say? They just plain out kick a s s
  16. Toss a black cuprit on a light weight at em next time.In my experience they have a soft spot for a black worm.
  17. I'm strictly C+R unless its a large crappie. They always get the hot oil bath!
  18. fish it,and fish it some more! You should see all the discolored milky green shee-ot around my parts.I get stoked if I can even find something as clear colored as that
  19. This is a good technique I have even done the same with a fluke, particularly when I notice them crashing shad in among pads and cattails. Another way I use a senko to pitch is to rear weight it with a stout nail.Pitch to the target or flip into the hole and everytime you lift up on it it wiggles back down into their face. This has been highly productive for me lately. True, the greatest attribute of a senko is the slow seductive fall when rigged weightless wacky or otherwise, but it is a very versatile bait and fish just cant stand it.

Skip them into and under trees and brush or docks and any other out of the way nooks and crannies
  21. WHERE THE HECK ARE YOU GUYS SEEING THIS CRAW FLAVORED ONE????I checked megastrike website and maybe I'm blind....LOL I'd love to get a hold of some!
  22. It will give you carpal tunnel syndrome on braided line LOL.
  23. Yeah I was mostly interested in the fact that it can handle braid well.Normally I use 15lb power pro.Anything more doesnt cast well. This thing claims to be able to handle 20 or even up to 30lb... If it is even a little off balance I may not get it.I'm too spoiled by my stradic mg's and sustain.
  24. Search didnt produce much on this.... Am trying to get feedback from anyone about this reel.Really considering getting one soon, and thus far havent heard any negatives about it. Anybody got one?? Thanks J
