  1. Or make them, or use spike it if push comes to shove.
  2. Thanks for the reality check Raul
  3. What the hell!!?? LOL ;D
  4. OHHH! thats some prime time area to be throwin it also 8-) ^^
  5. X2, and might I add that by far the best hook for it is a 4/0 owner wide gap plus hook. A gamakatsu 4/0 works pretty good but doesn't have the "extra bite" for such a thick bait.
  6. Plastics will kill you faster than anything!!! Load up when you see % off sales,if you can afford. Just got 4 packs of senkos at Dicks for a little over 20.00 @20% off.Not too bad for Yamamotos. I dealt the monkey the biggest death blow ever recently. Thanks to forum member "jbasscus" I was able to obtain a last years model St.Croix Tournament spinning rod and a Shimano Stella 4000 reel to go with it for $150.00 retail around 730.00. The monkey is writhing in agony over that one but he will be back with a vengence
  7. Lmao thats like a 8lber and a 2lber
  8. I sometimes use one on the rear of some of my topwaters like spooks but other than that I HATE THEM. A:They snag every friggan piece of weed, leaf, scum, trash, stick,or debris in the lake.A good way to dredge the water and find out whats down there.Try working that through a brush pile LOL. B:The biggest reason I hate them is because I have mortally wounded a ton of fish with those things. When a fish chokes a crankbait these hooks tend to puncture the inside of the gills and you end up with a bloody mess and a fish that you know will never swim away.Have also gotten several stuck in their throats.A treble in the throat is no laughing matter. On the other hand I do believe they do their job and catch a lot of the "slappers" who just take a quick swipe at the bait but I would rather use standard trebles then have the inside of the boat look like someone got shot :-/
  9. Hmmm.. methinks off balance is good sometimes.Ever watch it fall,or put a nail in one end?? Now thats off balance On a side note, Manns makes a hardnose worm that has a hard spot right in the middle for wacky rigging.I dont know if they are worth a darn or not though.
  10. I never imagined something like that could happen around florida :-? Apparently neither did that guy :
  11. BAH! Dave your crazy Awesome song, and if you think it is draw out then you would really hate "estranged" I totally love that song and its a blast to play on drums.
  12. This time of year I either am out by 2:30 AM or go around 8:30 PM. Around here in summer it's finished at 8:30 AM,unless of course you like 1 MPH breezes,92 degrees, nuclear sun,and 1-2 dinks to show for it.
  13. Dont move em, eat em!! From everything I have read, but not my experience,a small body of water can be hurt by crappie and bass together.Crappie eat the same things bass do,at least until bass get older, and crappie will reproduce faster.
  14. Not too shabby texas rigged and pitched to brush either...
  15. I like to use these:http://www.***.com/descpage-OST36BC.html sometimes like to stick these on the rear: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_58033_100010002_100000000_100010000_100-10-2 if you want feathers I love these: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product_10151_-1_10001_52857_100010002_100000000_100010000_100-10-2
  16. Yep,and how about black and blue in real clear water where I would normally strictly throw cinnamons, pumkins, and watermelon :-? :
  17. Thats a kiddie ride Since I moved to Florida I dont have the pleasure of going to this place every summer anymore and riding this:http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/park/rides/coasters/top_thrill_dragster/index.cfm But I did get to ride this record breaker:http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/park/rides/coasters/millennium_force/index.cfm Click on the point of view section on the lower right for videos.Dont puke ;D
  18. Seems to me that "pond" is just a term for "small lake". I think everyone would have their own opinion as to the size qualifications that make a body of water either a lake or pond.
  19. X2 Setting the hook. When it just feels like a log and the first split second you can't tell if its a snag until it starts to rip the rod from your hands.
  20. I have had no problems sealing it with silicone. The idea is to just make the hole a little smaller and not totally airtight.
  21. Rage tail craws
  22. Grade A product. Any of the positives replied here I will second. I also never go without it when fishing in the dark.
  23. medium rod, fast tip, not x -fast, is my preference. I either do just like Brian desribed or use a long sideways sweep like a carolina rig but with a lot less force while reeling to insure tension. if you snap set to much you run the risk of ripping hooks out or knocking slack in the line which will in turn allow the fish to throw the bait
  24. If it looks like food and acts like food it will be eaten. Curiousity killed the cat(bass) How many worms do you see swimming around in the water? That being said I dont see any reason that a craw imitator wouldn't catch fish in a body of water that is completely devoid of craws.
