Transfering from RI to OH
Hey, glad to hear you'll be in the dayton area. I am from the area and fish the area a lot. I am in the process of joining a new federation club. Lots of tourneys going on in the area, if your looking to fish the federation tourneys you only got a couple more weeks to register. Give me a shout sometime if you need anything.

Bass Pro Series
I personally follow BASS Elites more. I think this probably due to the fact that there tv coverage was better when I first I got into tournament bass fishing. I do however follow the Flw series and tour some. My favorite pros are from BASS. I think its probably because with BASS I feel like between tv, the magazine and their website I actually know the guys personalities and I think thats cool. Its hard for me to pick an absolute favorite, because I like them all, but I'll go with to guys from up north, KVD and Ike. I fish both FLW and BASS lower tournaments and enjoy them both and feel its probably easier to advance in FLW tournaments, but I just think BASS does better coverage.

Deciding between these two rigs....advice?
If possible take both boats for a ride. Take a pole and actually fish of them for a couple minutes, which is more comfortable. Have the motor compression checked! Do either of the boats have better trolling motors, electronics, ect. than the other? Which one might have a better resale value? Hopefully people who have actually owned on of these models will come along to answer guestions. Just remeber to have the motor checked. You'll never forget about your first bass boat.

BFL
I did horrible at the regional, but caught more fish than my boaters, so I guess I did what I could. KY lake can get tough in the fall, caughts lots of fish, just not many 15inchers. Looking forward to hopefully making it as a boater this year.

ohio bass
Ohio can be tough, but there is still some good fishin'. I love Indian lake. Bucknut if I lived two minutes from Indian lake I'd be in heaven, I usually fish it once a week and I live an hour and 15 minutes away. If you can find sweet spots at indian lake, usually related to pads, you can always catch some good fish. Indian lake is awesome in the spring, but with many tournaments every year it usually gets tougher as the year drags along. You should fish the BFL there this year. Also do you fish St. Mary's much?

Ohio River
It depends where I am at but, spinnerbait, crankbait, and flipping in shallower water. I don't know of a lot of deep water main river spots, but that is one thing I plan on trying to learn this spring and summer (so if anyone has some spots they wanna share, feel free). ;D ;D

west-central Ohio
I would have to agree with Turtle 1, I caught nice smallies out of all those rivers and many small creeks along the way, this is how I grew up fishing. My favorite creek is between Zenia and Wilberforce, caught many 3 pounders and usually a couple 4's a year and a 5 pounder here and there. If any one interested in this area ever let me know. P.S. Hardly anyone fishes it ;D

Ohio Tournaments
Thats cool ohiobass. I fished as a co last year, gonna be a boater this year. Hope to see you at the BFL's, later on this spring give me a shout if you ever want to prefish or practice if your not going out with your dad. P.S. The main river at the Maysville tourney was gin clear, I could see 12-15 ft down where we were fishing, Does it only get like that during long droughts or is that a normal summertime thing?

Ohio Tournaments
The BFL has three events on the river this year, you gonna fish them ohiobass?

BFL
Yep. I have fished it the last two years and will also be this year.

Anybody sucessful with chatterbaits?
yep, great bait, but in my opinion it really depends on the lake. Some lakes they seem to work well for me others not so much. If your ever getting short struck on a spinnerbait, tie one on and see if they don't totally inhale it. This is how I find lakes where they seem to work well. I'd personally buy all the kits they had, but like someone said before, sharpen the hook.

"Driven" in Palatka to "AWESOMENESS "
Sounds like your lucky to have fished with him, from what I saw of him he carried himself very well and seemed like an awesome guy. We never got any where near 70 let alone 80 in the two rangers I fished out of. ;D ;D

Choosing a Reel
Ebay has some new curados 100D's for $149, awesome reel. I think they still have the $50 dolar mail in rebate going on also.

Finally, a well needed break!
Nice fish. Ft. Myers is nice, lots of little places to fish and find nice bass. The junebug colored worm is the real deal, did you catch most of your fish on that?

Speaking of Lake Erie.............
I'd come with my boat. Just can't make it the first two weeks of May, because of tournaments.

Bassmaster Florida Open Here I Come!
Good job ma wilson. I was a hundred and something, but theres always the next one in may. P.S. Its always bad when the pro says in the morning, "I can fish, but I'm just no good at finding the fish." It was awesome seeing some of my heroes there. I was pumped that Ike was fishin it. He was really cool at the boat docks, talked to everyone and was great with all the kids. I know a lot of people don't care for him, but he is the kind of person that makes this sport grow.

Two Piece spinning rods
I personally am not sure if it would negatively affect the rod in any way and I no longer use any two piece rods, but growing up thats all we used. I don't rember what kinda glue we used, but we did a lot of times use some kind to hold them together. Personally I would use it first to see if it indeed will fly apart or not, some rods won't. Good Luck!

Should underwater camera's Be legal in Tournaments?
I see no problem with using a camera, and I think if legal most would not use it. It would take to long and todays depth finders are so advanced, it might have a purpose in practice, but I seriously doubt many people would bust it out during a tournament. But who really knows. Great question.

How did you find out about this site, and when you registered... (and a little about myself)
I was researching bass fishing and stumbled on the BR articles. After a couple weeks of reading those I clicked on the forums button.
