  1. Awesome fish. One of the best colors also (you can put some orange on the underside if you think the bass may be feeding on bluegill also) Well worth the 7.99 even if you get to the center in a couple months. ;D
  2. Mike, Well see how this year ends. The southerns are not much further for me to travel, I broke down the drive time, miles ect. The biggest draw back is that first tourney is in january in florida. I also like Erie and I fish ther often. The florida tourney scares me because it florida and one of you florida guys will probably when it, unless your willing to give me enough spots for a second place finish ;D But only time will tell. Is your wife going to the Guntersville tourney, mine can't so if you want to cut cost, let me know.
  3. thats cool I'm also thinking about fishing the northern division, but wanna see how the my last few tournaments go this year.
  4. Ohio river is all I've fished in Indiana, lots of good creeks off the river, its one of the better poles on the river. I've heard there are some good lakes. Look where the BfL and weekend series fish in your area it'll give you some ideas.
  5. What do all think about the schedule? Anybody plan on trying to fish any of the divisions?
  6. Have grown up catching smallies and agree they fight the best, but I think some of the most awesome strikes and hookups come from the green fish (i cought a toad on a buzz bait today it was awesome to watch).
  7. I have a champ with no carpet. CONS: very loud when fishing and while driving, every wave you hit is very loud (compartment lids), in morning with dew on the boat every step leaves foot prints and makes boat look dirty, rods slide back at you after a couple MPH, strap them down, no carpet to hide stress cracks which every boat will get, no carpet=no cushion, after a few long days of fishing in row your back will be sore PROS: easy to clean, never gets hot so you can fish barefoot, dries fast after it rains, looks cool love mine, but my next bass boat will have carpet, if I was using it as an intercostal for other species I would buy another one with no carpet hope this helps
  8. Its really no different than putting on any other shirt that may have a logo or name on it. If you like Nike, put on a nike shirt, if you like ranger put on a ranger shirt. Some of the touney shirts are comfortable and cool to wear in the summer and that might be a reason to them versus a plain t-shirt. Sometimes tourney shirts are free, should they just be trashed then? Dress in what you like and fish and let others do the same, there just clothes.
  9. I don't know why the carp are there, but in my experience the bass are still there.
  10. Thats sweet. I would just make sure they are quality motors that will last a while. I want one too.
  11. Thats a toad and an ugly bait. I went nuts with a sharpie to make one look more like a baby bass and it it was ugly also, but got the job done.
  12. Top water early and late. Frog in the middle of the day if there is alot of vegetation. If any deep water slowly drag a c-rig worm or lizard across the bootom. T-rig plastics in thick vegetaion also.
  13. I have a pair of red head waders that have been through 4 winters of trout fishing. Something like $80 for a pair.
  14. zoom x2
  15. rubbermaid shoeboxes, keepem nice and organized

    Welcome.
  18. I work night 7p-7a, but on my 4 days off a week, i'm back to a schedule of bed by 2am up by 4-5am. Today I got up at 2:51am to go fishing then had to sit in the truck for an hour to let the lightning pass, but it was cool to watch.
  19. Baby Brush Hog and Berkley Beast.
  20. post the pictures. that must have been nuts.
  21. I always hate getting bothered at tournaments, but they stop people for this reason. There is no reason that he shouldn't of had his TN license. I fished a BFL regional there last year and bought my TN license knowing there was a possibility I might end up there and I never did, but I was prepared.
  22. Extreme cold and bad weather stink, but big water like Erie can be staight scary. :'( I have said many prayers while on Erie asking God to let us get ashore safely.
