  6. Big fish is always a good day, even if it cost you a trolling motor. ;D
  7. Welcome. You fish the river at all?
  8. Welcome. There some people on here that can paint some crankbaits better than Lucky Craft, sure you'll find what your looking for.

Welcome. This place will take your addiction to the next level.
  10. Good deal. I hope to make my own rod someday. I think it would be cool to catch a fish on a rod you built yourself.
  11. Welcome. You might not have the quality bass as we do in the Ohio River, but from what I gather you guys have a couple bass out in cali.
  12. Nets can remove slime also. Were so quick to rip metal hooks through a fish mouth, but freak when they touch carpet. It's the classic relax. I've let fish touch the deck and flop around. I've also helped revive fish for 10 minutes so they would swim off. These pros care about the fish just as much as we do. Lets just be positive that the classic is as big as it is and we can actually see them letting fish touch the carpet on cable tv.
  13. No. Not over the top.
  14. I hope Ike is having a big day. I can see it, but I quess will have to wait.
  15. Grew up fishing creeks for smallmouth. Its what my Dad, brother and I did every week. We always watched all the fishing shows on ESPN and I just thought the BASS guys were like Gods. In college I found out I coould fish as a co-angler in the BFL's and I thought why not... First Tourney... One baitcaster combo to my name and three spinning rod set ups, a bag of tackle and Lake Erie. I was fish out of water! Couldn't even help my boater back his boat in the water. I had never drop shottted in my life (were on Erie!). 120 boats, pouring ran, 7-9 foot waves, water spouts and a 35 mile run from Sandusky to Canada. I actually prayed I'd survive the day. Luck for me I had a world class boater and over the course of the day I learned what tournament fishing was about. I survived but my life will never be the same. If I never make it big I know I will tourney fish till the day my body stops letting me. I'm addicted to chasing green and brown fish and catching as many as I can in 8 hours. ;D
  16. My first Curado, paid full retail. I know how to cast because of that reel. ;D
  17. Yes they have a non boater. Only boaters can qualify for the classic. check out Bassmaster.com and look under opens it will explain everything under the rules section. By fishing as a co-angler you can guarentee a spot as a boater the next year by placing in the top 50 and than take your shot. Good Luck.
  18. Both are good. Chigger a little less action. The chigger is pretty sturdy so some like it for flippin heavy cover and grass, holds better on the hook.
  19. Bill Lowen. He might flat out be the best river fisherman on the tour. Hack Attack. KVD (dude is focused, period.)
  20. Merry Christmas! Welcome!
