I gave up for two years the river up here was contaminated with mercury, killed off the fish for three years they just started to come back big and healthy this year. I did get burned out after getting skunked every time. Knowing some company would dump that crap in the river and not getting in trouble just made it worse.

Firs couple of time I cut the line redo... Stand behind my son.... He starts his cast lure sinks into my back, I yell Noooooo! he of course does not stop as sets the hook -ooch! I also left the tie downs on twice, on the boat. Drove to a fishing spot about 20 minutes from home my son and I get out get the poles I set the key down to pick up the tackle box, shut the hatch and say "crap" son asks how are we going to get home? I told him the old fashion way and don't worry about that now the fish are biting. Later that night my wife drives out to find us walking back home. Son runs track but hates to walk...

I started to wire my boat the same way, I will just lock the back drives in at full blast I picked up two MG truster 34's at walmart for 76 a piece on clearance. Switch them on and away I go steer with the front. This is what I was thinking for the front any opinions? I can have it delivered to the store for free and it costs what BPS have them on sale for with there shipping (extra charge). What if ...... you are fishing with let 's say 20 lbs test ? that would equal 15 pounds of drag pessure, so unless you are fishing with a reel with at least 15 pounds of drag 90% of the reels of the world won 't cut it. Wouldn't the reel be rated for 20lb test hence a drag system to match the line capability? I guess 25 % is the magic number then?

So do you thumb it before it contacts the water? On a long cast I don't touch my spool but with anything close I would get a bucket of fun (nest).
