Bassman one thing you have to keep in mind is have trust in yourself.If you are catching fish when by self then you can out of back of boat.This past year I fished the BFL as non-boater and did real good took 7th place in state and went to regional.One thing to do is use something different from boater and slow down.Try shallow running crankbaits,drop shot,texas rig and want ever you catch fish on.Yes you will catch fish.I have a crankbait that did real good for me and watched as one boater went thru his whole boat trying to find one like.Had that limit of fish in about hour and rest day culled fish.If like more info pm me and will give you number to contact me.So go for it and dont give up.Fire

Try JDC baits they have very good baits to use for wacky rig.

Have been to several of them and had a blast.If you have any children take them.The dealers seem to give a lot of free baits to kids.

Good deals at Hickory Store had gift card and used up.

Big M got baits today when got home from work.Those are very nice and will keep put up till next year to use.I see $$$$$$$.

Yakdude one thing I offer is to look at joining bass club or try finding a guide.I get down to Lake Wylie sometimes but will be awhile.I mainly fish Hickory or Rhodhiss.

Try fishing these areas but be on look out for heavy rain will get up in a hurry so watch water levels.Travel HWY 321 toward Blowing Rock and take right on to HWY 268.Travel this road and take left on Buffalo Cove Road and lot for pull offs this creek is stocked.Stay on road till you come to store on left take the left fork after store and travel to C.C.Camp Road pull across bridge and park somewhere.Walk creek that will follow road at times and if willing to walk to end is very large pool of water their.If any more info pm me with phone or personnel email.

volpster31 the rods are great and price is really good as far as compare they will hold up to about anything on market.Also read about history of guy who is having them made and where they are made.Have had spinning rod and baitcasting rod for year and had no problems.Have used casting rod for crankbaits,spinnerbaits,carolina rig and does great with all that tackle.The rods are shipped in plastic boxs to help protect in shipping and can put spare rods in boxs to store them.Kenny

Ok I will tell you that I have been using the fishing rods for past year.Got one baitcasting rod for carolina rig,spinning rod for shakey head rod,they do have chart to help pick out best rod to use.I have not tried the reels yet.Have got info on tackle bag and does look good.So give a try.
