Keeping your tackle hidden from wifee?
I tell my wife everything I buy, which she feels I would not do unless we could afford it, which is true. However, I find that when I am telling her about a new reel or pole I bought as I am giving her a new pair of earrings or necklace she never asks what I paid for anything.

Polarized glasses for over my eyeglasses?
I paid over $400.00 for a pair of Rx sunglasses and they lasted about 14 months. The Polarized "film" was coming off of them. Only had 12 month warranty. Tried to get replacemnts free and they asked if I had them in hot conditions since that would void warranty?? I am not kidding. I got some that fit on front of my regular glasses that work very well and I can get rid of them if they get scratched since they are less than $20.

Help with Revo Parts
Flech - you might be right. I got hold of Abu - finally, and they told me the part was on backorder till Sept. This is after I ordered the part in March and have been told it would be available "soon". I have several Revo's and some of the older C5's but if Abu is unable or unwilling to make parts then I will be going with Shimano from now on, I don't remember reading about people having this same chronic parts problem I do. Thanks for the PM Wayne, I will check them out.

Help with Revo Parts
I am looking for part number 1104790 for a Revo Prem. I have ordered this part from several different locations and they all take my money and then tell me the part is on backorder and that Abu does not fill their orders well or often. I have been waiting since March to get this little spring and have had no luck even from the Abu website. Thank you for your help.

Carrot Stix
Have had 2 of the baitcasters that I just love and earlier this spring got a spinning/drop shot rod. Love it as well and while I have always been a big fan of cork grips, the grips on the carrot have changed my mind.

Do you use a net or have one on your boat?
I have one be rarely have it on the boat. Seems like when I have the net I don't catch fish but when I don't have the net I catch fish. Go figure. :-?

What age to start kids
I tried the spiderman pole routine with my 3yr old grandson and it was junk. I got him a Zebco 202 with a 5 foot rod and let him practice casting in my backyard. He would spend hours every day just doing that. Now that the weather is nice and he is on the water he is able to routinely cast 20-30 feet and catch some nice bluegill with a bobber and worms. I have not been able to get him to grasp the whole "jerk the line" concept but he always yells that "the little red ball went away" and then I tell him to reel in and he most times has a catch. Good times, and he has kept at it for a long as 2 hours at a time. I can't wait till my grandaughter can hold a pole. Oh, I agree with not always running to their aid when they have a small tangle or problem. I have been very impressed with how well he works many of those out himself.

how about those quantum baitcast reels
I have about 6 both PT and Tour's, seem to work and hold up very well.
-
Airrus Rods
I have several and they are very good and have been holding up well.

Storm Sunfish Swimbait
Unable to get them to run straight. Complete waste of money, and I like some of the other Storm baits.

Use PayPal? Consider this...
Have you or anyone else had any problems with PayPal that would make this seem like a good idea? I have not even had a hint of problems using the service. Just curious. :-/

carrot stix
On the contrary, I have two Carrot stix BC's one Parabolic and the other a MH and I have trouble with the line going to the hook holder on both. Still love the rods though, and will be getting more.

Gotta get me some of these JDM Revo upgrades
I seem to be unable to find a place that I can order these handles at BassArt or anywhere else. Not sure how to attack something like this but did not have any luck with web searches. Could someone help me out, I love to put those handles on my Prem. Thanks for the help.

Quantum- fading away???
I have had several of the accurist BC's several of the PTI spincasters and 2 of the Tour BC's. I was happy with all of them though I did have a few warranty claims on the accurists. That is until I just took delivery on my Revo PM and SX. Not to say there is anything wrong with the Quantum but there is just no comparison to the Revo's smoothness, castability, and ability to fight a fish on the same rod. Awesome product

Airuss or Sirrus Rods
I also have 2 457's and like them almost as much as my carrott stix and they are a lot cheaper.

Whiskey anyone?
To calm down a long day Makers Mark in a cup of good strong coffee is a good choice. It makes a great aperitif too. On the rocks it goes, Makers Mark Jack Black Crown

Rant: I hate my job.
Really to bad you hate your job. That means it is not working for either you OR your employer. MMM, I too love being in the out of doors but ended up working in an inner-city hospital lab in the basement. The advantage I had was being out of work before I was lucky to land the job. Good people, good job, and while I have to spend way to much time there I do spend all of my free time on the lake. Point? Your job/time/life is what you make it and how you perceive it. Good Luck

What do you do for a living?
Have worked as a Hospital Laboratory supervisor/manager, aka Medical Technologist, for the last 25years. Currently have a good job with a major hospital but am not sure that I want to stay in healthcare. Too many hours and too many weekends/holidays.
