  1. A Rage Rigged Space Monkey and Anaconda work well too... except maybe in parking lots
  2. Glad you're enjoying them...
  3. GOOD guys take their kids fishing so I guess you're a GOOD guy after all... regardless of what everyone else says about you Glad y'all had fun and appears that the daughter on the left might have her Dads personality
  4. This is the most effective way to utilize the Shellcracker as a swimbait. Of course you can rig it on its side as well for a slower gliding fall...

Here's Denny's info regarding the New DB Craw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSi-xxuanek

As I mentioned above, the Craw arms and Claws remain behind the bait during fall or retrieve, with the 4 flapping appendages on the claws themselves. When you fish it, you will see that the arms don't flail wildly like the standard Craw. It is a bit more subtle but the action is still very obvious and attractive. Denny explains on TW video vault from ICAST that this design is needed for fish who want attractive action but slightly less aggressive than our Rage Craw. Also a narrow swimming profile for punching etc. Hope this helps... rockchalk06, these Craws aren't made from floating plastic but the claws and arms don't exactly sink either. The material thickness can't get enough salt in it to make them really sink
  7. Dwight, Didn't go with the Merc this time... It has the 250 Yamaha 4 stroke... nice and quiet too BassinLou, Been working on the new products for ICAST debut... Fishing time was a little SPARSE, if you know what I'm talkin' about!
  8. OK Boys and Girls HERE'S our Latest Craw design... The Rage DB Craw Denny Brauer and I created this Little Darlin' and it has Fantastic Action with 4 Flapping Claw Appendages instead of two... The arms and Claws don't spread out like the Standard Rage Craw but instead stay right behind the bait and flap seductively with minimal movement. It's basically the same size as the Standard Craw as well but the profile might appear slightly smaller due to the arms not spreading during retrieve. The colors to start with will be Green Pumpkin, Black n Blue, Summer Craw, Bama Craw, Watermelon Red/Black... Others colors that may be produced very soon are Blue Craw and Hard Candy. Hope you like'em!
  9. I couldn't stand it anymore and ran to the water just before heading to ICAST Found this SLOBETTE with a C-rigged RAGE Eeliminator... She was in 14 ft water, on a gravel bar in the middle of a mile long soft bottom slide to the river channel. Green Pumpkin color w/tipped tail in Chartreuse JJ's, 25lb Vicious Pro Elite Fluoro, 7'11" hvy action Rage Rod (St Croix), Old Curado reel with HawgTech Handle. Sure liking the new 21ft Skeeter I-Class... It's SMOOOTH in big water, and I'm happy I changed RIDES Should have some photos of it soon. Hope y'all are having FUN this Summer too
  10. I like Rattles in grass, dirty water or night conditions... You're set up choices are good IMO, just be patient as you work through the details... Good Luck and Safe Fishing!
  11. Here's our latest color chart... there are others being added this ICAST but not Bama Bug, sry! http://www.ragetail.com/news/color-charts/rage-craw-color-selection/
  12. WTG and congrats, FINE Fish!
  13. Their 1/4oz Hooks run from 2/0 to 6/0 in size... but they have hooks weighted from 1/8 to 3/8 in a variety of sizes including the new weighted Stick'r which isn't an EWG style hook. It's for thinner dia or less bulk bait styles.
  14. Great post and Fatty Foto's WTG!
  15. NICE one, WTG!
  16. LOL, actually I don't use a net so I sit down and ease them up and over the side of the boat. The only time I might strain a bit is when they're not finished with the fight and thrash around whilel I'm lifting them in Shimmy, it really doesn't happen "all of the time" ... but I sure WISHED that it did
  17. Great Jigs!
  18. As CPBassFishing noted in his photo, and also as illustrated below... Of course rigged flat will have a slower fall rate.
  19. Joe, using the 6/0 hook and trimming the belly fins provides clearance under the Shellcracker so that the hook stays centered during use. If the fins are left on, they will often flip over the weight off center causing the bait to run untrue. This illustration shows a 5/0 hook and fins left on. You can see that the fins are not clearing the hook and could easily rotate to one side or the other, especially on the cast.
  20. Dwight, Yep Hawgtech Handle and Love'em! CPBassFishing, Green Pumpkin jig and Green Pumpkin/Purple/Gold Lobster. Can't remember if I touched the claw tips w/chart or not but I do in certain conditions.
  21. During the recent BR Roadtrip, we were able to review this information with 'in hand samples' and thought it might help others who have questions! Please list any questions about other rigging details that you may have and I or others will try to answer them It's a versatile bait and there are several Choices... I think it would be interesting to know how you "would or have" Rigged the Shellcracker and your thoughts! Flip and Pitch, rigged flat beaver style or upright through the belly slot, T or C-rig either way, Jig trailer rigged flat and HERE is the 3.75" COMPACT Swimmer, 6/0 hook with a Trimmed the belly fin!

I like that style of fishing too and nice report!
  23. I was using my normal BIG Stuff when the Line stretched, and I said "Ohhh Mama" She gave me a thrill taking a run under the boat trying to get back into the channel tree tops but steady pressure kept her out. Used a 1oz Seibert Outdoors Big O Brush Jig n RAGE Lobster on 25lb Vicious Pro Elite Fluoro and a 7'11" St Croix RAGE Rod! I'm positive there will be Bass Fishing in Heaven
  24. Nice fish and photos you two, and glad yall had a GREAT time!
