  1. Yes RW, Two sets of EAGLE eyes and Flippin prowess behind this design! To make it P E R F E C T, Denny and I worked on it together for about a year Where the claws hang is where they flap... And they're little Buzz saws Glad yall are having FUN with'em! According to Denny, we're the innovators... and the best just got better... I tend to agree OF COURSE, lol
  2. With the NEW "DB" RageTail Craw, KVD caught some of his BEST Keepers at the BASS All Star Tournament taking 2nd! Below is the Bama Craw illustration... Hope y'all like'em!
  3. "Fall has Fell" and yours truly almost fell TOO, LOL Almost a Big Splash with this Pretty Gal! An off balance hookset with a Rage Recon Worm and my Pro Seat saved my "BIG A" from takin a DUNK Rigging on the Recon was a 5/0 Moaner Sticker Hook with a 1/2oz tungsten and 25lb Vicious Pro Elite Fluoro. Yep, that's a HawgTech handle on the Old Curado... love this set up!
  4. That reminds me... I need to go re-tie 9 of my rods... be right back with ya
  5. Wtg Jay, Deak is a nice fella huh This is one of the great things about BassResource... Nice folks that not only love to fish but share both opinions and EVEN Baits with us sometime! Good on ya Deak
  6. There are a lot of good responses by others! The normal tweaks I work through are changes in profile size, appearance, length, speed of fall and Color. A drastic off the wall color change will sometime surprise you with an increase in the number of bites you'll get. Recently I was in heavily stained water and to increase the bite, switched from Flippin a Black n Blue Craw to a white Craw that I'd tipped the claws in red. My first change from a compact jig presentation is often a 6" Hawg. The additional 2 to 3" length will sometime flip their switch too...
  7. Congratulations on your New PB! I've been throwing Black n Blue a lot recently too
  8. YES... as a matter of fact, I have tried them and I "LIKE'EM ALOT" Hope you all enjoy them as well!
  9. This was my thought as well but it could have been from being bitten there when she was young too. The scarring was obvious on both sides of her tail.
  10. Here you go flyfisher I catch a lot more of these than I do the bigger ones for sure...
  11. Persistance PAYS WTG
  12. Cool on the Double but sux on the finger hook stuff... part of Fishin, huh!
  13. Those are nice Smallies. WTG and congrats on your series Win too!
  14. Kansas, yes I do fish baits other than jigs... C-rig, T-rig, top water etc. but all soft plastics oriented and all are RT's Shane, "Breast Pocket"... watcha sayin... I got Breast Yeh, her tail is STUNTED from the base of her anal fin to the end of her tail, appears to be a scar there too.
  15. Ck it out and tell me what you think may have happened to cause her WACKY shaped Rear-end I have my own thoughts but thought it would be fun to see what you guys think as well That's a 1oz Seibert Outdoor Brush Jig and Rage Lobster in her lip and caught her out of a submerged tree top in 25ft water. There were a few more but she was the most interesting for sure Liking my Hawgtech reel handles too... They're Sa-WEEET!
  16. Yes Tom, the old flip tail was a popular worm and I used it early on as well. The Thumper worm begins it's taper to flat sides immediately below the head section making it both rectangular and oval. This design feature allows the tail swimming or flapping action to transmit additional vibration and action forward into the body of the worm. I clip the tail on the dotted line more often than not... and clipping an additional 1/16 or so makes it flap even faster. Hope you like'em!
  17. The minimum I use is a 5/0 offset roundbend and up to a 6/0 EWG or a 6/0 screw lock typical to the Moaner Predator Hook. In my opinion the 10' Thumper is the best and most versatile straight worm on the market. Not only can it be fished as is with the hook shaped "swimtail", the tail also has a dash line on it so it can be clipped to provide a fast side to side flapping motion. You can see the different actions on our 'Bringin Heat Video'. Or you can clip the tail so that its even more straight and remove the flange which gives the worm no action other than what it would have on the fall or any movement you provide it with your rod tip. The segmented body is also very advantageous to the action of the worm. You'll notice that the worm is only round at the head then tapers to flat sides all the way to the tail. This design provides more vibration in the body during the swimming motion. You can also utilize each section to shorten the worm easily if necessary. I fish this worm a lot and my biggest fish to date on it is 14+ but I have caught easily over 100 10+ bass on this worm alone and I have a volume of photos of others who not only use it but have caught their Pb's on it as well. As you can probably tell, I am extremely proud of this design and I would not change it a bit! It's amazing how some who are inexperienced and/or lacking of knowledge in a given field, will make certain statements as if those statements are FACTS... Most often, those same people want others to think they're an authority or have superior knowledge regarding such things. Where a statement was noted above... "This type of worm tends to be stiffer due to the injection molded plastisol is harder than hand poured", This statement is totally incorrect as injection molded plastics can be made to any durometer, hardness or texture that any hand pour or otherwise can be produced. Have FUN and I hope you too catch a Grande with your Thumper worms Bringin Heat Video http://youtu.be/l-AP4_p0bGM
