  1. To drive the hook completely thru the body and skin hook also stiffens the front of the bait which reduces action considerably. By free floating the hook point inside the tube body, the bait has the action it was originally designed to have. Maintaining the hook point in the center of bait is paramount. Big O
  2. The most expensive ones you can find for the cheapest prices and alot of'em cause you'll lose some and rods too if you're not holdin' on real good. Big O
  3. C rig a craw, drag a football jig, jiggin spoon and dd22 in that order. Big O
  4. June bug - June bug - June bug - Carolina rig - Carolina rig - Carolina rig sounds good to me too..... Big O http://ragetail.com/images/RAGE_TAIL_NEXT_GEN.wmv
  5. Hey Brian, how about a bobber that looks like a baby duck. Better put a hook in it cause it might get as many hits as the bait.... hmmm... not a bad idea, huh! Any takers? Big O
  6. Thats the spirit..... Big O
  7. Hey Dude, thats terrific and now you need to go out there with him and get you one too. Big O
  8. Wow again and again. I guess you are now officially the "Rage Tail Shad Cover Girl". You have some of us guys feeling a little envious that we can't hold a candle to a little lady with a fishing rod in her hands. I know you are feelin' a little bit guilty by now, aren't you. :'( Big O
  9. I ask my self the same question Simon, since the ICAST, my prototypes are gone. Now in order to go fishing, I have to make my own, ONE AT A TIME. This sux. I think SKLCo does this on purpose because they know when I'm making baits, I'm trying new stuff. They like me hungry....... Big O http://ragetail.com/images/RAGE_TAIL_NEXT_GEN.wmv
  10. I have used them and if you use the correct keel weighted (Swimbait) hook that is suited for the size bait you are fishing they are great. I think the material in the nose could be thicker to hold the screw lock better but all of the different models I have seen are thin as well. It is not necessary to take the hook completely thru the bait and then skin hook on top as some illustrations show because this in fact if not centered perfecty is much of what is causing the poor action results that some refer to. Simply penetrate the centerline of the belly and leave the hook point inside the hollow body. This provides proper action every time and the hook set only has to penetrate the other thin side of body. Just my opinion. Big O
  11. I have never fished them Brian, but saw one being tested by one of SKLCo product buyers and it looked pretty cool. Ought to be killer in the right situations. Big O
  12. I like the same hook RW but you may remember the long shank, heavy wire, 4/0 to 5/0 Eagle Claw offset hook. This is my favorite hook on the 10" Anaconda but will drop down on hook size to a 4/0 to 5/0 hook as you noted on the 7" Annie. It's more like 8" when it starts swimming. Whatever weight is chosen for wind and depth will do just fine. Big O http://ragetail.com/images/RAGE_TAIL_NEXT_GEN.wmv
  13. Hey Black Bass, must remember that part of designing baits is testing baits and that means FISHING. The more I design, the more I fish and "that's a good thang" Now if we can just get them on the shelves so you guys can play with them too. Big O http://ragetail.com/images/RAGE_TAIL_NEXT_GEN.wmv
  14. My favorite daytime colors on that worm right now is Red Shad, and Red Bug and Watermelon Red. Red anything is hot this time of year where I am. Big O
  15. In the water it looks at least that big "It's an Anaconda" Big O
  16. Thanks for the visit Bobby, I finally met the guy who makes the best bass fishing scent on the market. As I told you, I have been using Megastrike since day one and haven't thought about changing since. Great show and you and I will never be business rivals, only friends in business. Big O
  17. At ICAST, I noticed that SKL listed Red Bug as one of their colors and I am glad they did. Between that and Green pumpkin, I'm happy. Big O
  18. I am familiar with almost every big worm that has been produced since 1966 because I have primarily fished Big worms and Jigs since that time, my favorites obviously. In fact when I fish any bait, I always ask myself " is this the best that it can be"? The Anaconda has all of the traits that I have found are most appealing to big fish, can be fished with any style ex. TX rig, Carolina rig etc., realistic action that can be altered or vary according to style of retrieve, seductive fall on keel weight hook, weightless powerhouse, terrific movement with the slight movement of rod tip, A variety of flicker rates happening at once, a whip or slap tail for maximum vibration at slowest fall rates, Looks bigger in the water than it does in your hand, and last but not least an overall look of "bad attitude". I think the Anaconda fits the bill "just fine" Big O http://ragetail.com/images/RAGE_TAIL_NEXT_GEN.wmv
  19. The style of action is not subtle by any means, better described as "On a mission". Glad you like'em RW, What color did you have? Big O
  20. Colors on Anaconda are plum, watermelon red black, red shad, june bug, green pumpkin, okeechobee Craw, red bug, big tex, double header and bama bug. Big O

  23. And this will be one of Sharkbites more cherished memories, I'm sure. But Muddy, that is a perfect example of being totally sold out to fishing isn't it. Thanks RW for another solid member inducted into the Fish-a-Maniacs Club. I am a card carrying member myself. Big O
  24. Big-O replied to grimlin's topic in Fishing Reports
Well I would look at it like this...... Maybe the bird was saying that the fish were on break at the time but he would keep you company until they got back in the swing of things. Just a little different perspective..... Big O
  25. And you, my friend, are AWESOME! Our world is wonderful because you and those like you keep planting these good seeds of unselfishness and care in the most fertile part of our society, OUR CHILDREN. "This too shall grow and multiply to bring forth much fruit" Thanks Daniel .... U Da Man Big O
