  1. That is a cool story with a great picture. Well done Thefishin1.... Big O
  2. I'm sure it will be no problem on replacing the rod and good fishing report too Ron. Big O
  3. I agree Coach, Any woman that carry's fishing baits around in her pockets has got to be one of a kind. And she can FISH TOO! Big O
  4. Actually I use the same basic 7'0 med hvy action x 6 on my deck at all times and all with same gear ratio Curado's. So I am old style as well, only many rods rigged with the variety of baits I feel is needed so that I can change presentations quickly without re-tieing. Now, I do have the occasional 7'6ers to throw Carolina's etc. but have used the others for that as well without complaints. Big O
  5. This is my suggestion: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1196114229 8-) I agree with RW, she should have to fish with more than one rod like we have to.... ;D Big O
  6. Okay.... I am PEELED-GRILLED and CHILLED. This little gal is makin' a mockery out of the experience, skills and variety of techniques required to be a successful and well rounded angler. She's skinny! She has repeatedly strayed from the normal codes in fishing and caught certain species of fish that are not suppose to be caught with those type of baits. A walleye on a lizard? On top of that she has veered from the professional standards in techniques and caught fish after fish without knowing, "exactly what she was doing when she was doing whatever she did. "Like catch several fish on, no matter which bait she threw." And finally, she has complete disregard to the notion that only the finest rods, reels and line are required and proper adjustments made for each individual bait size and presentation in order to be successful. "Like use the same rod, line and reel on anything and everything!" This is a complete TRAVISTY. And I think SHE IS AWESOME Thankyou Mrs. Matstone, you're a "One Gal Show" ;D Big O BTW who got the baits for you....I need some too :'(
  7. KVD is my choice because he continues to set a standard for all to admire, both young and old. He understands best of all, to stay on top, you never look back from where you came, only forward, to where you're going. And when you get to the top of your game, don't dig in because the mountain will grow past you. Big O
  8. Shorefisher....U Da Man Thats one to remember...great post Big O

Hey franco Big O I kinda like all these O's gettin' thrown around there..hehehe
  10. Yep and he was using my hand made prototypes...All were the 10" models. He also used them at Wheeler where he placed 2nd and his story was in Bass Times Magazine on that one. I have several worm designs and Kevin was one of the big influences for choosing this particular one to debut first. Since he and some of the other guys wanted this one first, what do I say ....."here you go". And the rest my friend is FUTURE. I think I like their choice too, cause this design is my favorite Big Worm of all times http://ragetail.com/images/RAGE_TAIL_NEXT_GEN.wmv Big O

  12. I'm with ya FishinDaddy, and you have my admiration because at your age, you realize the importance of Family and Happiness. Also at your age with your busy schedules, you're plan is to make sure that you are giving ample quality time to your passions and priorities. The goals written down is a great idea. Keep up the good work. Big O
  13. FishinDaddy, My goal is to fish without an agenda, other than enjoy the adventure while testing new soft plastic designs. Spend more time on the water with my Grandchildren without an agenda, other than listen to them laugh And to live every day without an agenda, and only do things that I love to do. Other stuff has a habit of trying to come around and get me off track, "but it's not on my agenda"! Big O
  14. Forgot to mention BassMaster_17, I believe that all of the stores you mentioned will have them plus Bass Pro, Academy, Dicks, Tackle Warehouse etc. If I get good info on who has them at the earliest date, I will let everyone know, via a post or whatever. http://ragetail.com/images/RAGE_TAIL_NEXT_GEN.wmv Big O
  15. JCrzy, If you pitch it out and run it next to the boat, you will see the variety of speeds available, there are many. Be sure to use the keel weighted hook also as mentioned on this rig as it helps to maintain stability on retrieve. 1/8 oz is perfect. And if you follow the hooking inst provided on my website illustrations, it will avoid the boring out of shad nose with the keel weighted hook. Big O
  16. LKN Bassman, He is a little hyper isn't he, I think he needs ritalin.... Big O And Brian, that Shad rig is for crankin the Rage Shad deeper like a swimbait, crankbait etc. Move it at med speed as we discussed. Can adjust pegged weight size and leader length to preference.
  17. How about floppy claws and used as topwater, will that do it ? Big O
  18. Hey Brent, the option kinda gave Rage Tail an unfair advantage too, cause the Shad and Toad are teaming up on the Horny Toad. I guess we might as well throw in the Rage Tail Craw and chunks too. ;D Big O
  19. As you all can well understand, I was in awe just to hear these two young fellas describe what to them was their Duty. Things they were directed to do, things they wanted to do, things they were hesitant to do, and of course things that their heart told them they had to do. There were upsides and downsides thru it all but to them the risk was worth the effort and they would do it all over again. Do they care if we appreciate them...Yes, but they don't have to have praise to do their job. Do they care if we don't appreciate them...Yes, but they are still willing to fight for and lay down their lives just so that we have a choice. "Now that's Freedom" Big O And from what I can see, all they want to do now is earn a good livin', take care of their families and fish as often as possible. Nothin like having good priorities... ...I can help them out with that last part every now and then.
  20. There she goes again, catchin' a hawg and makin' all of us so called experienced masters of angling feel bad :'( cause we just took a back seat again to a little lady and kids with fishin' poles. > Dang the luck.... ;D Now that was an emotional rollercoaster... wasn't it.. Way to go Mrs. Matstone, There isn't a bass in you're area safe from a hook when the hook is at the end of your fishing rod. Do you give Seminars on fishing?...I bet there's a bunch of us that would sign up immediately. Put me at the top of the list Big O PS love the truck and boat
  21. Thanks I fish Lake Cataouchie, Lake Desallemands and the Gibson/Bayou Black area. Its been a while, but I like to fish the Lake Beouf and its contributing waterways. And us Texans think we have great water for fishing....You guys have us beat in alot of ways in my opinion. Big O
  22. Hey Dances with Bass, it's about time we get another experienced, wise, understanding, patient, Old Geezer like myself to try to keep up with these young'guns here at Bass Resource. ;D Welcome to the group, sounds like you are gonna fit in just fine. Big O www.ragetail.com
  23. Rondef, when the fish strikes any frog and not just buzz style, and quickly you can tell that they don't have it in their mouth, just short, light, quick twitches under the surface like it's wounded and trying to surface or get away from the fish is usually all it takes for'em to grab it again. Now this is when you get two great strikes for the price of one. Big O
  24. My understanding is 11/1 but might be sooner so ck out SK's website for help Big O
  25. I like'em LKN Bassman and when a school or several fish are located a short or long rip'n'fall seems to get'em goin. I have also found that on singles or only a few fish in the area, slower jig'n'fall is best. I have only been throwing them for 5 mths or so and I'm sure there are others that will assist in some info for you. Big O
