SAME LAKE DIFFERENT TIME
Hey Marshmaster, glad you and your family is OK....wondering if you were gonna move North for a while to escape the turmoil. Sounds like you are covering the bases on bait selections but might need to find the right grass beds and depth that the fish are holding to right now. Believe it or not I am catching fish in 4 to 10 ft on edge of grass and some are hosses. I think that this slightly cooler weather and off and on rain has'em movin' up a bit more than normal. My best producer is a jig n craw or my Big O worm. (Anaconda) Again glad you guys are safe and doing well Big O

bass angler faves?
The nicest and most cordial guy on the circuit is Shaw....Many folks who don't know him personally think he is over the top due to his job which revolves largely around marketing, yet he is anyting but. I have the pleasure of friendship with many of todays most active pros and although all of them are terrific guys, Shaw in my opinion is loved and reverred by them and all who know him as the greatest guy around. Although small in physical stature, he is giant at heart and not just in the fishing world. Big O

Rhino Lining vs Carpet
I like carpet personally for comfort. Big O
-
New bass boat question
Carpet is an inexpensive and relatively easy installment. If you are really high on that boat for that price, you and/or a friend can handle the carpet deal as long as you have a few cold Bud Lites around.... Big O

2 guys in a 10 foot john boat
Sure it'll work snapperG, you get used to the distances etc. and adjust accordingly.....When I was younger, I threw my 10 ft'r in the back of the truck and fished every state in the South with one of my Bud's over and extended length of time. Just be safe and wear PFD's Big O

Why would anyone...
I like your question IDbasser, and for me the answer might be in your question.... The fact that there is an option provides the variety that most of us appreciate in the challenge of bass fishing. Then there are the other species... It's all good Big O

First Time Fishing Story about a little boy
Toolpush, I can relate to your story with your daughter and can tell you that as you communicate those same memories to her in whatever form necessary, it hits home and makes the greatest positive impact.... A simple letter shows that you again took the time. A simple apology for no matter what, shows that your love for her is still firmly intact and you won't allow anything to diminish it. A simple "I am the luckiest Dad in the world because of you" will always renew fond memories from the past. And A simple I love you will never fall on deaf ears. Big O

First Time Fishing Story about a little boy
Couldn't fish today and as usual when I can't fish, I'm thinking about it or remembering fond times. We all have favorite fishing memories and here is one from my distant past that makes me chuckle and thought it might give you a smile as well....Feel free to comment or share your own. Years ago, A new friend and his young son went fishing with me for their very first fishing trip ever . My previous outings in this area were very productive flipping jigs and craws in extremely thick brush and timber on a flooded creek channel. My success level on larger fish had increased with each outing so I was keyed up and loaded for bear.... You can imagine the sights and the sounds to my friends young boy who had never been in a boat or even seen a bass before this time. As I maneuvered the boat over logs and thru the flooded timber, he jabbered with excitement and intrigue at this new adventurous journey he was on. As I got closer to the "Zone" I could tell that the fish were there and active because the smaller brush was moving and there were obvious feeding swirls coming from beneath the surface all around. The fish were suspended in the brush only a few feet below and in an extremely aggressive mood. The more observations I explained to my friends, the more excited the young boy got. I had set up a Tx rigged craw for the him and flipped it out in a busy spot, then handed him the rod and said "hold on tight, jerk it and reel'em in" . He followed with a beautiful hook set, squealed to the top of his lungs and pee'd his pants....all of this as he reeled in a 3 1/2 pound bass. His Dad was embarrassed for him and said he would help him change his pants but the little boy said "it's okay Daddy, it'll dry and I won't pee on the next one". Just as I had hoped and anticipated "IT WAS ON". Both of them were getting slammed and the Dad after catching several nice fish, wound up just helping his boy with all of the action. I was standing on the deck and some of the smaller fish on my hook sets would fly completely over the boat from one side to the other and a bit more often than I had anticipated. As luck would have it there were also several large fish in the mix and I wasn't using a net so many of them would jerk their way free from my grip and wind up thrashing all over the bottom of the boat and sometimes extremely close to the little boy....I would apologize to him and he would quickly reply "No problem, I like it". At the end of the day the young boy told his mother that he wanted a fishing rod and a motorcycle helmet for his birthday, she quickly replied that he didn't have a motorcycle and he told her "Not for a motorcycle Mom, it's for the flying fish when I go fishin' with Big O again". Now Anthony is 35 yrs old and is a die hard bass fisherman and his parents remind of that often..Flying Fish. Big O www.ragetail.com

Rage Tail Toad
Donnie, Pls use a 5/0 to 6/0 minimum EWG Superline hook as this is the exact hook that the Rage Toad was designed around. Both give best hook up percentage and provide exact keel effect necessary to give terrific action. Some folks will use smaller hooks because they are convenient, but miss the fish of a lifetime or not get as many strikes because the hook is not properly matched to the bait. The Rage toads are also extremely effective using the same size keel weighted (swimbait style) hooks and you can review hooking instructions on the Rage Tail website linked below. www.ragetail.com Good fishin and hope you whack'em Big O

One bait, one month!
This may sound partial but I'm being absolutely truthful, Rage Craw.....middle, bottom, fast or slow - fish it on top or in the slop, on any rig or on a jig. Kinda poetic there wasn't it....hehehe Big O

Iaconelli fishes Washington State!
Great times in fishing are exactly that....As so many have mentioned and proven, emphasis on friends and the opportunity to fish is what creates the real love for fishing and not just the catch. What a great opportunity to see the mental challenge and decisions required to continually change according to conditions and search thru the water and bait eliminating process in order to locate a successful pattern. Wouldn't have been able to witness that, if the fish were slammin every cast.....This type of footage and information is invaluable and should be used as such. I have always gained much more knowledge and experience from my less or no fish trips, than when I knew the when, where's and hows to catch alot of fish. Great job Glenn...as usual Big O

Stick Marsh/Farm 13
Hey George, I haven't been there in 20 yrs and it's good to see that the lake is still doing ok....the floating vegetation back then was just starting to come on and I bet nowadays it is getting to be a real problem. Alot of my bigger fish came from the far side of the center dike between the two water bodies along the ditch grass line....there was little or no pressure back then and the bigg'uns were feeding heavily on Jigs... Glad you had a good time Big O
