Jeosbo01, You can fish this worm like any other worm but as you will see, it has action like no other worm, giving it a bit more versaitility. Make sure to hook the Annie with the tail upright and pop the tab loose. Fishing with a light swimbait hook is terrific in 6 ft or less and over grass. While the bait is falling, the tail slithers back and forth and is irresistible to the fish. This action can be achieved on the 7" with a 4/0 superline ewg hook as well but it is a slower fall and can be fished on the surface easily. Like RW said you can Tx rig using 4/0 to a 5/0 ewg hook...and choice of weight would depend on water conditions like depth, wind etc. It is a terrific Carolina rig worm as well. Now for tail flipping top water action only, turn the Annie over so that Tail is turned down and buzz it across the surface. Sorry RW, I didn't tell you about that Hope this helps Big O

I fish a variety of different lakes with big swings in water colors and clarity thru out the year so I adjust to each accordingly and have found that in too many instances, "color makes a difference in numbers". Best all around color IMO is Green Pumpkin....If fish are on the jig bite, you won't ever hurt yourself with that choice. For those who like blue in the trailer, there is Okee craw color which is Green pumpkin back and blue flake belly. Big O

For those of you who are planning to fish the RT Anaconda's, Please remember to hook them with the tail upright for best action results. You can fish them weightless, Tx rig, Carolina Rig and with a keel weighted hook. For many of us, the bigger the worm the bigger the hook, and I advise 3/0 minimum ewg for 7" and 5/0 minimum ewg on the 10". If you like the action of weightless sinko style baits on the fall, you will really enjoy the seductive action of Anacondas weghtless as well. On the 7" ANA, I like a 4/0 minimum superline EWG hook and a 5/0 minimum on the 10". The slightly heavier hook on each gives all of the additional weight necessary to make the tails slither slowly back an forth during the fall. For a slightly quicker fall rate many are using the keel weighted hooks in the same sizes. The reason I mentioned this is that we are catching many quality fish in 6 ft or less now on weightless Annie's, let me know how you like'em Big O

Good info Catt. Never new the exact numbers, but the results don't surprise me. Reckon that's why some folks only throw hard baits and wire baits, because they don't want to Share their Lunkers... ;D Big O

Now just in case you didn't take my above advice in which I would really like for you to seriously consider....the following was info I posted for another member the other day that is also interested in getting more effecient with fishing those nasty ole Jigs. Time and patience is all it takes to catch fish and gain confidence with jig fishing. My best advice from the beginning is: 1) Stay shallow in 8ft or less. 2) Stay light on the weight of your line 12 lb or so, and jig maybe 1/4 oz. max 3) Stay out of the wind as much as possible so you can concentrate on your technique. 4) Stay slow on your hops, twitches and drags and maintain contact with the bottom, fish them much like Tx rigged worms. 5) STAY WITH IT. Last but not least, it is extremely helpful to use a trailer that provides great action to your jig in every situation whether it is on the fall, with the slightest movement of your rod tip or on a swimming retrieve. I guess you can figure out which trailer I would advise... Hope this helps you Big O

Hey Rooster, No need to ever tie on a jig'n'craw EVER. They aint no good and they don't catch fish anyway. Waste of time, money and energy.... And just imagine how much lighter your gear will be when you don't have a couple hundred of those heavy toten, no fish catchin, time wastin, stump hangin, line breakin and have ya cussin kinda baits to drag around. I hate'em and if you can convince all of your friends of the same, then please gather'em all up and send them to me....I want to melt'em all down and make an anchor out of'em. Thanks Guys, I also got some of the 7" Annies in my order, and they are SWEEEEET.....As Rondef says, "Gonna go rip some lips" ;D The colors turned out great on all of them but noticed on this first production order, the Double Header color appears really close to Watermelon red. I want it a bit darker, should be a half Green pumpkin red and half Watermelon red. I put in a call to the Plastic Shop this morning... Nuff talk, gotta go fishin" Big O

bassfisher, Catt was pullin your chain and fun'in with ya....jigs are an awesome deep water bait and he is kinda partial to'em to say the least....Pitchin and flippin is terminology that is standard in the industry for fishing relatively close to your position that wouldn't necessarily require distance that is attained from the normal casting motion. Also flippin and pitchin is normally to known or visual cover both above and below the water surface and is normally in 15 ft or less in water depth. Basically the pitchin motion is exactly that, using the rod tip from an lowered position to swing the bait toward the desired target area. Many fishermen like to place the bait in one hand and swing the rod with the other but some of us find that we are more comfortable using the rod tip alone with a trained motion to achieve the same results. Both work just fine and each takes alot of practice to become effective and accurate. Hope that helps and keep an eye on that ole Catt, he is a sly one that fishes more than most around and has the scars to prove it. ;D Big O

Thanks strick9, I have received several request to describe one of the new colors called Big Tex, which has quickly become one of my favorites. It is a laminated black w/red flake back and brown tan belly w/orange flake...cool-cool-cool. All of the new design baits are produced in this color and when I saw the first ones, I wanted to eat them myself... ;D The fish like'em too. Glad you're having fun with the Rage Tails. Big O

Thanks Rondef and all of the Bass Resource Family, Everyone please be sure to remember that all of the Next Generation baits have Shape Saver Tabs (SST) on them. These tabs attach the legs and tails to the body so that they stay as straight as possible during manufacturing, shipping etc. Just pop them loose prior to fishing them.
