  1. WTG Movarus, now that's a good fishin report and great pictures too Big O
  2. This time of year, I like the big worms and/or jig'n'craw trailer as well. Both are proven big fish baits and my favorite year around producers. Big O
  3. Wow that's a first, even Walmart has those. They are one of the most popular soft plastic hooks on the market.... Big O
  4. Evan, There is also a video on the website that shows rigging it as well but my advice is to use the 4/0 EWG (extra wide gap) Super Line hook. That is the hook that the bait was basically designed around although some advise much larger hooks. There are also other ways to rig the Rage shad and you will find those ideas on the website as well. Hope you enjoy the baits and Welcome to our Bass Resource Family....whether we're fishin' or talkin' about fishin', we're a happy group Big O www.ragetail.com
  5. Ron, I wish you well in your search for your rod etc. And very glad you two were wearing your PSD's. That's a great lesson for all of us and let me know if I can help Big O
  6. Seems everything has it's ebb and flow and that includes fishing....many of us have been there. Just relax and follow the above advice, have fun or don't go. To many times we go with expectations and agenda's hoping to catch alot of fish but that item should be on the back burners.... Take a child fishing and spend some quality time getting back to the simple things that made you love fishing. As you involve yourself with helping a child learn about the outdoors and just basically having fun without having an agenda to go by....you will start to get it back but don't push it....Throw rocks Big O
  7. Great job man....nothin like a good fishin trip with your Dad to set great things in motion. Big O
  8. Now that's how fishin is suppose to be....WTG Big O
  9. Sometimes there are several days spent to locate fish in a given pattern suitable for filming. Then and only then are the cameras brought out to record the action....Even still, there is no guarantee that the fish and/or weather will cooperate for easy filming. As with all things, in order to guarantee the best opportunity for success it requires preparation, preparation and a little more preparation. Big O
  10. Diablos, first of all I would use a 5/0 to 6/0 ewg heavy wire (superline hook) or a light keel weighted same size hook will guarantee the frog, toad or whatever will right itself everytime.... Most buzz frogs will normally surface quickly and the keel weight also helps to drop it in pockets as well as casting distance...win win hope that helps Big O
  11. My experience with Summer fishing in Florida is that it normally rains more often and the fish are use to it more than in other locals. I have often caught more fish on these relatively shallow water bodies during rainy and overcast conditions maybe due to the break in the heat or less gin clear water conditions. Big O
  12. Flying fish live in fresh water too!!! Years ago, a friend and his young son went fishing with me and neither of them were familiar with flipping jigs in brush and timber and in close quarters. My previous outings in this area were very productive hitting several larger fish each time so I was keyed up and loaded for bear.... You can imagine the sight to my friends young boy who had never seen a bass before this time, and some of the fish that were of the smaller version were flying over the boat right and left then a big one would hit and the fight wound up with the fish in the bottom of the boat thrashing all over the place.... At the end of the day the young boy told his mother that he wanted a motorcycle helmet for his birthday, she quickly replied that he didn't have a motorcycle and he told her "Not for a motorcycle Mom, it's for flying fish when I go fishin' with Big O again". Now Anthony is 35 yrs old and is a die hard bass fisherman and his mom reminds of that often....Flying Fish. Big O
  13. Thanks for your comments fellas. One of my mentors (and there have been many) once said, "If you're gonna go anyway.....You might as well lead". So I do what I can. Big O

I like'em too....they are terrific little fish catchin dudes. Used them for years as grass jigs. Big O
  15. Hey John, The first production runs did in fact have a slight anise scent to them but the latest production sets have the new scent. Big O
  16. Big-O replied to T-rig's topic in Fishing Reports
That is remarkable, and shows exactly what is possible when the body of water is at it's optimum.....Kudos to you and the lake managers. Big O
  17. Mrs. M we're all so proud of you and your feats as the "Best Fishergirl in the World" and we also wished that we could catch'em as good as you but you have the touch, thats for sure..... Anyone who has confidence and catches a nice Smallie on a headless Lizard and then follows that up with a huge channel cat on a jig and chunk, well there is no comparison.... I mean when you are on the hunt for fish, they just swim straight up and grab a bite. I think you must have a special hand lotion or something ... Big O
  18. Welcome to ya King.... Big O
  19. The scent on the top water baits-Rage Shad and Toad is different than all of the other below the surface Rage Tail baits. As Painterdude mentioned, Crawfich butter is on all under surface baits as well as salt. Hope that helps Big O
  20. Kudos Marshmaster, and hate to hear about the careless, rude, selfish, inconsiderate, unthoughtful, discourteous and insensitive fools that showed absolute disregard to you while you were fishing. There should be laws on all waterways to deter such action. But now that it's over, just know that you did great with the hand you were dealt and made a terrific showing after all. Glad you kept your KOOL......U Da Man Big O
  21. Marshmaster is a "Fishing Machine".......WTG friend and send us some photo's if you have'em. Big O
  22. WTG Peasey, great photos!!! Big O
  23. could go 4 lbs looking at the size of your hand to the bass's head.......regardless of weight, nice fish and great photo...kudos Big O www.ragetail.com
  24. thats awesome jcv, you are a fine Dad and your son's future will show the benefits of your dedication.....All children should be so blessed. Big O
