One thing that has kept me from buying a Powell which i really want to do is the warranty thing. I don't have a Powell retailer around here so if something happens what would i do? I live 20 minutes from a Basspro and a Cabelas so if i get a Crucial and something happens im safe, just something to keep in mind.

I think that'll be a good combo to learn on. Just remember keep your thumb on the spool or you wont be fishing you'll be picking out a backlash all day long .

For jigging i use a 7'MH/F Shimano Crucial and 12# Yo Zuri Hybrid. If im going to be fishing heavy cover then i will switch to a H/F rod and use braid.

One that i have got my mom with for years is take some rubber bands and wrap them repeatedly around the hose that reaches out on the kitchen sink and leave it in place, make sure the nozzle is facing forward so next time someone goes and turns on the water they have a little shower.

Looks like they had a fun time, 19 fish? . Just about all of my family live in Abilene and most of them live about 3 minutes from Phantom, im going down there on my birthday in 2 weeks maybe i can catch 19 fish. How many times do they go out to Phantom a year LBH?

I used to work at Discount Tire although, i only worked there for 2 months. I was there long enough to see tires come in with various problems and i have to say of the two months i was there i had seen twice as many people come in and change their Goodyear tires than any other kind. One of our Coordinators called them Good for one years . I would stick with BFG or Michelen, i have never really heard anything bad about Continental either. The reason i was missing hookups was because the excitement and surprise of the topwater explosion kept catching me off guard. Everytime i would get the bait close to me within 4-6 feet i would reel faster to get it to me to throw it back out and thats when my strikes were coming. I don't know what my deal was but my reaction time was incredible, i was setting the hook the second the fish opened his mouth and that was my problem. once i got used to all the vicious strikes i waited maybe 1/2-1 second longer and then set the hook, then i was ok. I'm sure trailer hooks cant do any bad so I'll give them a try. Those are some nice fish guys. Simp, that spot looks perfect for a buzzbait .
