The first bass bait i ever tied on a line was a rattletrap. I caught a bass on each of my first 3 casts back to back to back. I have never caught one using a rattletrap since. I think my "worst" bait is a spinnerbait. I have NEVER caught a bass on a spinnerbait. I still use it everyday i fish though.

Does anyone own or know about these rods. what kind of rod is best for topwaters and frogs?

I fish for fun and relaxation. There is nothing better than being out at the lake where its really quiet and peaceful. I do it because it is something positive and something that i can teach my children whenever i decide to have some. Plus i like buying stuff and the baitmonkey provides plenty of things for me to spend my money on.

I have never used a frog before and figured i would try it out. I have read reviews and alot of people trash them becuase they say after a few casts it starts retaining water and doesnt float, or the nose rips off. Can anyone recommend some frogs that are worth buying?

American On my Dads side of the family the last 6 generations were born and raised in Abilene and Hawley texas. They were all farmers and ranchers. My Mom is origanlly from Oklahoma but moved to texas before she was 1 yr old, I think i remember her telling me she had some Cherokee in her and im not to sure on the background for the rest of her side of the family.

One of my buddies calls stop signs yield signs, he does a cali stop and rolls on through em. Me personally i will take that extra 6 seconds to stop and look and take the 100$ i save for not getting a ticket and buy some tackle or something useful. The main reason people don't stop is because there in a hurry to do nothing.

Not true, i was on my way back home from san antonio going around 80 the posted speed limit was 70 and there was people wizzin by me like i was at a stop sign. I sped up to see how fast they were going and i hit 92 then i slow back down to my 80 and set cruise control. About a minute and a half or 2 minutes later here comes the flashing lights pullin me over. i said i dont mean to make excuses or anything but i was goin with the flow and then slowed back down and he said yea well you slowed back down and everyone else didnt so we caught you!!!! that sucked. and if im in a street with kids and potential for them to come in the street i will slow to 15 or so. slowing down 5 or 10 miles is worth being able to stop if need be.

The best baitcaster is one that you can afford and one you like. You dont have to spend tons of money on one to be happy. I started with an Abu Garcia Revo S and i recommend it personally. If your looking to spend a little less i dont know personally but i have heard nothing but good talk about the Abu Garcia Promax and if im not mistaken it runs 79.99$. Another good route would be a Shimano Citica. It all depends on how much your willing to spend and how well you like the reel. If i was you i would go to a basspro or cabelas or a local fishing store so you can hold them and see which one you like best. Good luck with whatever you choose
