Here is what I do with my sons twins who are 7. One fishes with me more then the other and has even done a tournament with me. 1. I'll pack the boat with what ever food they want mainly junk. The stuff they usually won't get at home and its a don't rat me out and tell mommy deal. Guy stuff haha 2. Coloring books and crayons when they takes breaks from fishing they will spread out on the back deck and color. 3. Action figures if your kids are into them you can never bring to many action figures 4. Nintendo DS and all there games 5.Beach the boat walk around some islands have lunch, swim and explore for a bit. 6. When they say they have had enough it's time to pack up.

Fish creek mouths, eddys and especially below the dam. Read the current and look for area's where the current is doing something different and try and work those areas. Sometimes they want the bait slow sometimes at a medium pace just give baits different presentations jerk/jig/drag till the fish tell you what they like. Once deer season is over here t I start pounding the banks till everything freezes over or I would go through withdrawl walking past my boat in my garage every day. Good luck man the fun is trying to figure them out in cold tuff conditions. I never leave the house without these 1.Jig heads and curly tails 2.Storm wild eye shiners 3.Tubes 4.Suspending jerk baits 5.Swedish Pimple or jiggin spoon

Place was great a few years ago before the Lake Assoc decided to sonar the whole place. Sparce weed's and the ones that held on look pretty ratty. I live 15 minutes from the launch its a good place to go and fish with my kids, we catch alot of numbers but and the occasional biggin. As for helpful hints all the usual suspect's work in toga.

On Sunday October 17 of this year Holly Marine in Scotia Ny will be hosting a Father Son, Father Daughter and or a family fishing tournament. You can fish with your father, Grandfather your wife or a member of your family. This would be a no pressure tournament but all tournament rules would apply. There will be an entry fee of $60.00 per boat. The tournament would be for your immediate family for you to get together and have fun and have your family member be able to experience the challenge and the competition of fishing in a tournament. The emphases of this tournament would be for your kids or immediate family that normally would not have the experience of fishing in a tournament. There will be a 70% payout and a barbeque at the end of the tournanment weight in. Remember, first and for most this is for the kids and for those family members that would not have the opportunity to experience an actual fishing tournament . I had one last year but ended up breaking it setting the hook on maybe a 3lb SMB. I did land the fish though which was a +. It was a spinning 7' ML it was given to me as a gift so I figured i'd put it to use as a tube rod / drop shot rod. For what its worth and from what I can remember up until it broke it was a good rod.

Delaware where abouts on the Muddy Mo did you fish? Ill be hitting it this weekend its tournament time goin for the green fish 6-7 pool. Basspro I have has alot of luck with a Rapala JSR7 in the Craw patterns and Mag Warts. Are you fishing from shore or boat, Lake or river?

Fun fishing not to often unless its a monster. During a tournament almost every fish goes in a net!!
