PS3
To be honest i have no idea, i have never tried it. Maybe if you set the output to whatever the lowest setting is, you might see a difference in the graphics between the PS2 and PS3. Also a lot of HDTVs are not as expensive as you might think. If you get a gargantuan SONY HDTV then it will cost you, but there are some out that go to 1080p and cost less.

Reckon it's cold...
60* and at most 5mph winds! supposed to be cloudy and around 60* again tomoroow! I'm thinking about wetting a line, and praying for some hungry fish! ;D
-
why??
I think it is probably because most of this site is dedicated to the Largemouth and it is more sought after than the Smallmouth. I like to fish for both, but a lot of the time i am fishing for Largemouth because where i am the closest lake has no Smallmouth in it.

Pontoon Boat
I'm not sure how many mph of wind it could take but I'm sure you could get an anchor that would work for it! Even a bunch of rocks in a net attached to a long string of rope! ;D

Fishing: a high school sport??
You don't need one. There is a belly boating club here where i live (i'm not in it...yet) and they use a Carry Me bag (or something along those lines!) which is a bag that has holes. Apparently it works, since they have tournaments at the lake i fish at, and the fish were able to be released. Although, I don't think the fish find it too comfy in there, but i have not used it to see it for myself.

Fishing: a high school sport??
I agree with the first part, but the school wouldn't have to buy all of the accesories. If a student was passionate enough about fishing he/she most likely already has a rod/reel and tackle. Boats are not necessary if they can use float tubes, which are cheaper than a boat. The school would have to find a way to get a coach and the coach would need to find a way to practice either on or off campus. As for school competition, that is up to the high school sports people to plan the whole thing out with rules and costs etc.

Fishing: a high school sport??
Same here in CA! I doubt we would get enough support though... :-/

to the bait monkey
It would be hard to stay off the internet with this site being here in the first place! I always find myself looking up different products and clicking on all sorts of links in different posts! I just can't help it!!! ;D

First float tube
Thanks, but the lake i currently fish (and about to fish with a float tube) does not require those things. I think its for larger lakes, and not so much for smaller ones, although i may be wrong.

PS3
I agree with matt. This system offers excellent graphics, really gives a true HD experience. It plays blu-ray dvds as well as normal dvds. As for its backwards compatability, it can play PS2 and PS1 games. If you get rock band (that is if you like the game) you can go onto the internet and download new songs to play, its like a rock band version of iTunes. I love mine and no problems have occurred either. I don't hunt, but i do like hunting games. I think that there should be a hunting game for the PS3! High Definition hunting A HD fishing game isnt a bad idea either... that is if it could sell enough copies for the game people to want to make it...

First float tube
Thanks and i definitely will put layers under, it's chilly enough just being outside! Cant imagine how cold the water is! I play high school soccer and our field has lights so we can play night games. Well sometimes we go into overtime and it is freezing by then. I had to keep moving to keep the cramps from getting to me, and that still hurt! As soon as i got fouled, both legs just had pain that shot up from toe to hamstring. :'( Then we ended up tying to make it worse! > Thanks again for the tip, what do you (or anyone who reads this) suppose i wear under the waders that is comfortable?

Who makes the best crankbaits? What's your favorite?
I love the Wii! ;D Anyway i have to agree with some of the previous posts that the Original Shad Rap is my favorite. I don't think that i have many other brand crankbaits, or other hardbaits for that matter, the price is great and so is the quality.

First float tube
I still have to get the flippers and waders. Thanks for telling me what kind I should get. I have three poles but one of them is too long. The other two have spinning reels on them. I will keep the pole tip advice in mind when i go out. I'm surprised that a fish will actually come close to the tube! Thanks again, this coming year looks promising! ;D

First float tube
I got a float tube for Christmas and I was wondering if there is anything I should know/need before I go out to try it. Chances are I will use it in the Spring as it gets warmer. I usually go with my dad in a small boat but he is busy a lot of the time and i still cant drive (at least until February!) so I'm glad I got a float tube. Thanks in advance!

Skitter Prop
well i guess the first part of my post is pointless now! lol I didnt see that you posted before i did.
-
Skitter Prop
I think he is referring to the skitter prop not the popper made by Rapala. I like the skitter prop it can call suspended fish from about 10 ft. It makes a lot of noise and creates a good surface disturbance for fish to see. The propeller also adds flash to the bait. I cant really describe how i retrieve because i vary the speed every time i use it.

Wacky Worm Jigs
I never said i couldn't catch fish with it, it just didn't produce as well as other baits (texas or wacky rigged). Yes I know that there are fish there because i would switch to another bait if a senko didnt work, and then a fish would strike (It might be a confidence thing). Also keep in mind that it (the jigheads) can be used with a normal worm (like a senko) but there are worms that are made to have a squirming action during its fall, and a normal senko most likely would not have that desired action. The worms that i have seen have curved ends and a pre-curved body which supposedly gives it the action. I guess it is supposed to look like a squirmin' worm trying to not die in the water! ;D I don't think that these jigheads are meant for use with a senko, since a senko has a fat body compared to the "flick-shake" worms made by jackall.

Wacky Worm Jigs
Thanks for the feedback on the jigs. I will probably have a chance to pick some up tomorrow. I am also looking forward to using it to give the fish something they have never seen! This may become the replacement for those rattle finesse worms i used to have. If I'm lucky i might even fool one of those big ones and give myself a new PB! I better no get too hopeful until i use it though. heh heh... ;D

Wacky Worm Jigs
Thanks for putting up a website. Again for anyone who is curious, another thing to do is to search for Wacky Worm Jigs (or jigheads) and also "Inchi Wacky" I personally like the wacky rig, but senkos are not very productive on the lake i fish (is that possible? lol). Also i guess there are worms in stores specially made for the jig that i saw recently and I think i will try it out.

Wacky Worm Jigs
This forum wont let me put the name of the website either!!! well just search for the things that i said and you will find it! (chalk up another post too!)

Wacky Worm Jigs
The technique is called "flick-shakin'" and it came from Japan. I've never seen anyone use it but maybe nobody actually knows about it yet. There is a slight problem... I cant post web addresses until i have 10 posts!!! Just searsh wacky worm jigs and one of them will be from another site (website). That is one of the articles, and another search would be "Inchi Wacky" and you should get some results.
