  1. For years I've had a recurring nighmare that Michael Meyers from the Halloween movies is trying to kill me. It sucks!!! It'll be a happy dream, like I'll be blowing out the candles on my B-day cake, then outta nowhere he'll jump out with big knife. >
  2. Charmin Turbo Coming soon to a hip night-spot near you.
  3. The Chronarch B is bulkier than the previous A models. I really miss those old frames, talk about a palmable reel.....just like a glove. The B is much bigger than the Calais A. Not totally sure about the Curado, as I don't own one, but I believe the Curado has a tad bigger profile. I have only played with the Core at BPS.
  4. Bummer. I wish someone would make a good superline with fluorocarbon attributes.....talk about the perfect leader material for tip-ups. Maybe next year.
  5. Wash it down with a Sparks. It's a malt liquor/energy drink combo. If you survive that, well, then you must be a vampire. Yes it has gone way too far. What's next, energy toilet paper?
  6. Love the Stooges, but watching it on Spike drives me nuts...too many commercials. They stretch two shorts into an hour long program. I shouldn't complain though, no one else around here has them on.
  7. Cool. I'm going to give them buzz tomorrow and see if they accept money orders.
  8. Not catfish. I make stinky homemade cheese nuggets for cats. Chewing tobacco is one of the 'ingredients.' I stock-up every Spring with free tins at the Milwaukee Sports Show.
  9. I spent most of my youth fishing for perch, walleye, pike, bluegill, and crappie with my father. He didn't fish for bass, so I really never did. I never really targeted bass until I was about 18. Soon after, I bought a couple Chug Bugs. It didn't take long from there.... My dad taught me always to release bass. He still gives me the business when I tell him I'm going bass fishing. "Fish for something we can eat," is something I still hear. ;D
  10. What model did you get? The Rage model looks pretty sweet.
  11. Nice haul. I did really well resisting that furry bugger at the Spring Classic this year. I only spent, with tax, $32. I bought a RC .5 and some Berkley plastics. I even took a crank out of my cart and put it back. There's a first for everything.
  12. Yea, I was kinda hoping Shrub would pull a repeat of Sat ( have a big lead and blow a tire), but no such luck.
  13. A few years back I used it for one season on my crankin' setup. I remember liking Stren Sensor better. No complaints, no major issues....it didn't knock my socks off though.
  14. I've always wondered what MegaStrike smells like? Garlic? Anise? Other?
  15. Today's race kinda was a snoozer. Only about a dozen cars on the lead lap, and then Shrub takes the checkered flag. >
  16. That reminds me of the little spider jigs we use for panfish in the winter, except in a much bigger profile. Nice mods. Looks like a fun bed bait. Cast it near the bed, let it die, give a small twitch, just enough to get the skirt material to sway.......Hold on.
  17. I picked up a pack, on sale, at BPS last week. The package says new, and I've never seen them before. There are two styles: fat and regular; both are 5". I picked up the regular style in the Breen color. These worms are heavier than the traditional Berkley worms, a bit stiffer too. They have the shape of the Fat Dover Crawler. I held one up to the light, no insert. Perhaps a tungsten like powder, similar to those plastic weights for inserting into tubes? Or just a denser plastic? The package suggests rigging them wacky or unweighted Texas style. I picked them up with wacky in mind. Anyone have any experience with these stinky suckers?
  18. Yup. Happened to me more times than I care to mention. Just give the eye of your hook a little squeze with your pliers.
  19. I used to play the heck out of Spider Fighter.
  20. St. Croix EC68MXF paired with a Daiwa Sol. I've added the four bearing TD-Z handle to the Sol Verrry smooth. When I get the cash, I'll upgrade the bearings, drag, and add some cork knobs.
  21. I picked up a Cumara for the first time last week. While I wasn't too impressed with the threads and screw cap on the reel seat, I was really excited about the blank; it felt great. I picked up the 7'2" M casting model. Immediately 'shakey heads' popped into my mind. If I didn't aready have a BCR852, this Cumara would probably be my next finesse wom/jig rod. Put a Chronarch Mg 51 on there and man, talk about a sweet setup.
  22. I've used 10 and 12lb Gamma Co-Poly and have been very happy.
  23. Glad to hear all is going well T.
  24. With the Chronarch B, all models come with HEG. In order to get the HEG in the Curado, you have to step-up to the 200 size. The difference between the two reels then, is almost an ounce in weight. Just a little something to keep in mind. The Chronarch has one to two more bearings than the Curado as well, depending upon the model.
  25. What he said I have an Avid AS69MLXF that I really like. I landed my 2 biggest fish ever on this thing. As a matter of fact, I'm considering selling it simply because I have a few too many rods. PM me if you're interested. X3 I use my AS69MLXF for casting shakey heads to bass and jig/minnow/leech/twister tail combos to walleye. I love this rod. If I'm casting a spinning rod, chances are I'm grabbing this one. It also is a killer dropshot and unweighted floating worm rod. This one sees a lot of time on the water in the Spring.
