Good choices! (I have a 6' Clarus Med. Fast action and a Sahara 2500).

Baitcaster, Right or left?
That's exactly how I am. I write with my left hand but do everything else with my right (right handed hockey stick, throw right, etc.). I use all left handed reels.

x2 He is funny. yeah mike rowe is great, watch this coming week on dirty jobs he will be spending some time on one of the boats. i think it is part of "alaska week" speaking of mike rowe, i recently watched a cheesy old fire safety video at my works monthly safety meeting. the main character was "Max Monday" the fire inspector. he was a total nerd and dressed like an inspector. and talking with a kinda weird voice. running around inspecting everything. was very bad acting. anyway, it was mike rowe!! musta been where he got his start in TV or something. Cliff Nice! ;D

Tullies?
Yes, by all means. Bass and crappies can be caught far behind the bulrush weed-line, and when their feeding, bass can be heard busting several yards back into the canebrake. This is especially true where there are boat lanes for bass to follow. The stalks of bulrushes consist of very strong cellulose fibers. When you stick a tule beyond the hook-barb, it usually means a trip into the canebreak to find the impaled stalk, so the lure can be yanked out by hand > Roger I hear ya there!

I feel you man. I don't even want to think about what the Bait Monkey has put me up to this off-season. > I actually just went and got my Turkey license last weekend, so that should help kill time a bit.

Do most people prefer offset EWG hooks or offset round bend hooks for rigging flukes? What are the positives and negatives of each hook style for this presentation, if any? (Fluke newbie ;D)
