I had one of their spinning reels or about a week i hated it ! the handle had way too much play and so did the rotor. PIECE OF JUNK!

Can somebody settle a bet for me ? i have a buddy that won't put more than 10 lb test on his spinning reel because on the spool it's printed 6lb 8lb 10lb , he thinks he will ruin the reel if he puts 12lb or 14lb on it . I told him it doesn't matter as long as he doesn't go over what the rod is rated for , the rod is rated for 8- 15 lb, as far as the reel goes he just will lose line capacity going w/a heavier line . am i wrong? PS the reel is a pfeluger supreme 8035 and the rod is a 7' med heavy loomis imx.

I live in ma. and was fishing one day in one of the local hot spots . It was about 85 degrees out , the water was clear and the spot that i was fishing from was a rocky cliff abou 8' above the surface of the water. as i walked up to the rock my buddy says to me look at the size of that bass , i looked and this bass had to be at least 8lbs . i casted a senko and twitched it by the bass (he didn't even look at it) just then my buddy yell NO NOT THE SMALL ONE! i look a few feet to the right of the monster bass was another bass that was at least 6" longer than the "small bass" and quite a bit fatter i'd say i was probably over 10 lbs. I threw almost everything in my tacklebox at the both of them and nothing . So to answer your question , there are definitly big bass in massachusetts.

PS before i bought my kistler i was looking at the carrot stick the only reason that i didn't go for it is that i absolutly hate the foam grip.

I just bought a kistler magnesium i really like the way the rod feels but i haven't fished it yet , it's my only rod thats not a g loomis . one of my favorite rods is my loomis SJR 782 IMX it's a 6'6" med action extremely light and sensitive. another rod that i just picked up is a loomis mossyback BSR 803 that i haven't used yet but if it's half the rod my IMX is i'm sure that i will love it.

Hi i'm probably the only guy on this site that doesn't own a baitcast rod/reel , it's just somthing that i never got the hang of. Now getting to my question........ Does anybody make a spinning rod for fishing med. - lg. swimbaits? thanks for any help

Bass brat how do you like that combo ? Everythings frozen over here so i've only casted in my back yard just to try it out and it casts great and feels good to me but i've never fished w/ it.

I have all g loomis rods but i recently bought a kistler magnesium all pourpose med. action 6'6" spinning rod , it feels like a nice rod but i was just wondering how people like them ?
