Why dont they have 2 records for Largemouth bass? N & S?
Obviously the easiest way to solve the problem is introduce the florida bass to the north If scientists can clone animals or grow someone another arm with stem cells, they certainly should be able to figure out how to make a Florida bass survive the winter in the north Oh wait you still have a longer growing season forget what I said

Bit by something other than a fish?
Bull frogs get pretty vicious for topwater in shallow coves up near the bank And by buddy caught a fishizzle in the upper lip when I was 10 Never trusted novices since then (no offense) lol

Biggest Bass Swimming in the North
I'll let you know when the lake opens. However theres always a chance that funding is cut so you never know. I grew up fishin private lakes or limited access. Its more fun fishin when a lake doesn't get hammered every wknd PM me

Orlando Florida bass fishing
I am going to Orlando, FL March 5 and 6 and I would love to go fishing with someone from the area for bass.. I am willing to travel and hour or so. I can pay for gas, food etc. I am a tournament angler that has some free time while my wife is at a conference. I've been strictly a bass fisherman for 15 years. I can prefish a tourney with someone or check out a new lake with you. Artificials prefered. No pressure to catch fish. Or any guides that are willing to give me a discount just to fish for fun. Or anyone that wants to split a guided trip with me. Thanks, Jim

Bed fishing--
the problem is when we put them in the live well. It takes only 5 min to empty a bed otherwise I'm ok with it catch and release Studies have shown that heavily fished lakes still maintain a good population based on the sheer number of eggs a bass produces. Plus some bass spawn deep

Drop shot and split shot?
I use a split shot at the end of my drop shot rig for a slower fall and softer splash in water less than 6 feet deep. Then its easier to add another if you cast into wind or go to deeper water without retying. I tie a small knot at the end to keep them from sliding off. If you are fishing a rocky area you may want them to slide off to save your hook. Sometimes if fishing is slow, its better to not shake it. the worm moves more than you think with wind, current, waves and the fact that you're in a boat your rod moves a bit. I like using 3" senkos in watermelon in clear to slightly stained water in CT for Lg and Sm mouths Good luck

NH Bass (or fishing in gereral) Clubs
I love fishin Winnie Soooo many rock piles so little time. Go to BASS or FLW websites and those affiliated with them will be listed with contact info. But before you join see what lakes they fish---some may not be that local unless you like to get up at 3 and drive 2 hrs then fish for 8 and drive home. I know I do.

Biggest Bass Swimming in the North
There have been several 10's that have come out of a Res in CT near me. The lake is big and private. Not much bass pressure....Most anglers troll for trout I'm always looking for some bass buddies to fish there with me b/c I'm a member and my bass buds are too proud to fish in an aluminum with elec. motor. I am still fishing for the new state record there. Theres definately a 13 there!

Is it legal ?
Good question Call the Dept of Environmental Protection There is nothing in the anglers guide in CT that mentions that I have a degree in Bio and thats always interested me too But I never put anty effort into it so I'll live through you Let me know how it goes
