Line, Reel, and Rod
You're opening a can of worms ;D Everyone has different opinions or prefences but Don't be discouraged if in 10 years you still have not got it perfected. I switch rods and reels and lines and tests for my technique specifics every year. So try some different setups based on those threads and follow up throughout the year with more specific questions. Tough bite baits
Thanks for the research I used to throw texas rig more but now only on occasion I should go back to it
-
swivels and crankbaits
To me swivels catch less fish and they are for those who can't tie a Palomar
-
sunglasses
Amber seems to work well in sunny and cloudy but not late eve under really low light

Texas Rig : With or Without bead ?
I avoid them b/c I don't know enough about them to make an educated decision about when they should be used Plus I already have enough junk in the trunk

I like 3/8 oz. texas rig with Zoom trick worm--- cut off 1/4-1/2 of it in the spring (green pumpkin is my all around color) Fish it slow and fan cast-- if no takers right away move to a new area good luck- CoAnglers
We all fish...can't everyone just get along??? My club members are great people and very humble and I hope no one is discouraged to join a club. One of my regrets was not starting tourney fishing earlier in life. At 36 years old I may not make the pros till I'm 56. Good thing fishing is for all ages- Fishing from the back seat
In the club level, its fun to figure out the fish together. Those without a nonboater have that disadvantage. If both guys fish differently, one lure may work and the other guy can switch if he is not too proud I usually limit, so the guys in my club sometimes ask for my input when fishing is tough Its flattering- Orlando Florida bass fishing
ls1jay took me fishing on 2 lakes in 1 day and we had a blast...3 strong cold fronts in 2 days and we still caught fish and had plenty of bites we missed. thanks Jay- Small boats/small water bass fishing
A large furry animal that really big bass eat ;D There are alot of different brands http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1&partNumber=90805&hvarTarget=search&cmCat=SearchResults good luck- Lake Toho
There was a recent article in bassmaster that said 50% of fish spawn at peak time. The rest are pre or post and some skip it. And peak occurs at different times on each part of the lake.- WHERE TO PLACE COVER
I wish I had that problem-you're very lucky Do all different depths and see what works out you can always move unproductive ones next year There are also a few other threads recently on this topic called man made brush piles with great info Good luck- Fish Swallow Hook
You're right from what I've read 3-4 days go You should also cut the hook as short as possible if you can Never yank a hook thats in the throat- Average total wieght for Tournament 's ?
10lbs ave. in the money in CT sometimes it wins, sometimes its not in the money- Concerned about a public pond
I hear they make a nice jacket ;D- BASSMASTER CLASSIC 2008-Boat question
and its one more thing that a nonboater has to worry about hitting besides the giant motor- BASSMASTER CLASSIC 2008-Boat question
its called a power pole. Its an anchor activated with a remote control The new thing is they have 2 so the boat is properly positioned- Local lake is being drained deep water structure question
Ya what WRP said A photo gives you the cover within the cover the placement of each stump in relation to others GPS gives you the general vicinity---its only accurate to within 10' right? Take a photo. that way you'll never regret it its priceless- Learning to adapt when in the back of the boat
Bassectomy, It is unsportsmanlike to prevent a nonboater from having fair fishable water. A boater can get disqualified from a tourney or kicked out of a club for doing that. I have had conversations with my club members about that. You CANNOT use boat positioning to prevent a nonboater from catching fish. As for your style not matching theirs--sorry. its their boat and you have to follow And if they are powerfishing and you want to throw a jig- sorry You must learn to adapt. Sorry if this was too harsh. lol- Trophy Fish Award Program
the part I find interesting is that catch and release not elligable for state records.. What do I do throw it in my garden after? too bad- Fronts
Its called fishin not catchin Sounds like you read the book The problem is Bass can't read You're doing things right--downsizing and slowing down the bass are there just looking at your lure. try doing the same thing in different areas points, dropoffs, differnt colors and try deadsticking for a minute with your worm or jig. i.e. don't move your lure a bit then recast good luck- First bass on a NEW kind of bait!
That is a very interesting method HC I learned something new today - Patterns....
