  1. Cover and depth are most imp to me Find the depth of cover the fish perfer on that day I fish alot of small lakes full of grass and weeds under 20' deep
  2. Sturgeon are illegal to fish for in CT They do get huge though 8-10' maybe?

  5. Its legal in CT to use bluegill Illegal to use bass and trout Bass hit bait from behind then turn it around in their mouth and swallow head first. I have seen a dead 4 lb. bass with a big bluegill in its mouth that got stuck. Yes heavy equipment and swing for the fence after a 10 count or so.   7. I agreed. If you are flipping and pitching more accurately with a spinning rod than with a baitcaster, your baitcasting skills need a little work. You still can get pretty accurate with a spinning rod, just not as accurate as a baitcaster. Thank you---well said

  16. try replacing the split ring on both lures with the qiuck change teardrop shaped ring (sorry, I don't know the name of it yet) So 1 rod, 2 lures, 5 second lure change

  23. The x-rap slashbait that I live by is blue on top and orange on the bottom and dives 3-5'. Its the 3.25" model Slightly stained water 4' visibility Smallies love it. When you find one stay in that area for a while.
