Lure Retrievers
Alright, now how about if it is in a tree??? I need one for getting them out of trees. Don't ask how they got there and I won't tell. ;D

Unbelievable!!!
Congrats!!! And you had a better day than I. I hit the banks and only caught one 12"er. I caught it on a bright blue(top) and neon green(bottom) husky jerk bait. And that was on a slow constant retrieve by the east docks of san chris. I live in the Springfield area and hit san chris and Springfield Lakes the most.

Anyone tried these new Abu Garcia Reels
I noticed a feature called a twitching bar. what is it for? I went to dick's and looked at the abu combo's and they seem nice. I really need a baitcast reel and a new spinning rod. Side note is a cardinal 104 worth getting fixed?

Lets see your tackle collection
My lord!!! I only hope and dream for as much tackle as you guys have! I would say someone has let the darkside win! Your baitmonkey must weight atleast 40000#s.

What are some good inexpensive hard jerkbaits?
I have to agree smithwick"s super rogue. And the husky's are good too. Check Wal-mart for some on clearance.(Rapala Huskybaits) And the rogues are pretty cheap at wal-mart too.

BR Lure Fun?
I love this idea. As for sending out other lures, it means that more members will be able to participate in the fun.

Do you have any fishing quirks?
This has got to be the funniest stuff I have ever heard! But I seriously think some of you need therapy. Of course, I am sure that is why you fish.

Lets see your tackle collection
I am guessing since no one has answered you yet that my suggestion will have to do. As just about everyone on the site has told me "read through the articles at the top of the page for info". And read past post for specific info such as " go to lures" or confidence baits and or personally choices. I have learned that using the search bar at the top left of the screen helps find things. The "guys" on this site know alot, but i think they are tired of answering the same questions all the time. well good luck and hit me up if you have a question and i will answer or atleast point you in the right direction.

Drop Shoting
Thank you sam for telling this sam some info about DS. I have read the articles at the top of the page already. they were pretty informative, but i am looking for techniques, or more so, see what variations on the different kinds of techniques you guy have tried or use.

Drop Shoting
what kind of retrieve are you guys using? I have not had much luck with DSing. I usually let it drop and then kinda bounce the tip a little while holding the pole kinda high. then i lower the pole and reel slowly. And repeat. Is this correct?

Tax return came
My bait monkey is jealous. My Previous employeer Still has yet to send me mine! I have been harassing them for 3 weeks now. :'(

How long do you give a lure before switching to the next?
As a under experienced fisher I start with whatever I think looks good. (usual My newest Lure or learned technique) If that does no produce within a about 15 cast or so i change it out for a random selection. I have learned alot from the Bass resource so all that will be changing this spring. I have learned so much and would like to try it all out. ;D

Question for the IL fishermen...

Who is your favorite tackle retailer and why?
Cabela's is my favorite but not by choice. I have never been to BPS. :'( And the trip to cabela's means mall hopping around St.louis for the old lady, because I can not justify a trip just for cabela's. I mean it is a 2hr drive at the least from my house.

Flurocarbon Line - which one & why??
So if I am reading right the berkley vanish transition is not very abrasion resistant but has decent knot strength?
-
C-rig question.
I have heard of the ear plug in the tube bait before. The results were pretty good according to my source. I myself have not tried it, yet. And the reason I have not tried it is because I stick to spinners, lipped and lipless, And a small assortment of plastic worms and lizards on drop shot.

Spring time Tackle
I have nothing in my tackle box that is red. I have been noticing it seems to be a must have. As for the spinner i have a few white ones. What Brand Lipless crankbait in Red should i Feed the bait monkey with?

Springfield,IL area lakes i.e. Sanchris, Lake springfield, or any other local spots
I would like to get feed back on Lakes in my area. Is there anyone that has fished these area's?
-
lipless cranks
All I know is that my PB is with the berkley. But I will admit that my experience is not as much as some of the guys on here.

i need new line...
I just bought my first Fluorocarbon line today. I got berkley vanish in 10lbs. I usually use the spiderwire mono. I would like any input anyone has on the vanish, thank you. )

Walmart clearance
WOW Buddy! I hit pay dirt at my local wally. i bought huskyjerks, baby minus1's, a few smithwick super rogues, all kinds of rapala's: X-raps, Shad raps, ummm. They had a few reels for cheap too. I was happy with my $50's worth of clearance goodies.
-
lipless cranks
Between the Rat-L-Trap and my berkley, I have had better luck with the berkley. I think my sucess is due to color, rather than brand. I am looking to buy a few different color rat-ltrap or vibra-traps sometime soon. ALERT: My local Wal-mart has been put rapala's and other Name brand baits on clearance!

Spring time Tackle
Ok. let see... I am thankful for the Link RW. I conclude from that link that the list should go as follows:(in no special order) 1. Rapala- X Rap-4" , Shad Raps- Shad color , Husky Jerks , ALL DT's- bluegill color , Fat Raps- Crawfish 2. Smithwick- Rogue( seemed very popular) 3. Mann's- Minus 1 4. Rat-L-Trap- Crome color 5. Berkley- power worms- Pumpkin, Blue flake 6. Terminator- Spinnerbaits- willow & colorado blades- white, chartreuce colors 7. Senko- 5" white with gold/black flake 8. Heddon- Torpedo Now these are the ones that everyone seemed to agree on. I would like to know the best ways to fish these baits. Thank you to everyone that has and will help me. Thank you RW for your insight and knowledge of past post that have answered my ?'s.

Spring time Tackle
I have a decent tackle box going, but when i bought my tackle I was just buying at random. No real info to support my choices. So what I would like is a spring time buying list of the best baits and color choices for this time of year. And the best techniques for fishing them. I have been reading info online till i am blue in the face and sorta confused at this point. Thanks for any help.
