  1. Keep at Mike you'll get-em sooner or later! I've got a night time get together going on for GS in a few weeks. You should come w/us and take your canoe. You know you'd be more than welcome in my boat but the seat is already taken. Though, I do have another friend who has an open seat, he's a great guy and very laid back you two would get along great. Shoot me a pm and I'll give you the details. Take care Mike and talk to you soon!
  2. Hit EP Res last evening from 4 to 11pm with my good friend Matt. Twenty years of fishing together but, never one outing on Turner. Water temps were around 64* wind was on and off throughout the night and guessing from 5mph to 10ph. Matt was getting into them early throwing a black Blue Senko into the pads. He had 5 fish in the boat on that friggin Senko ::)while I had zero, before the thought of purposly running into a stump to send him overboard entered my mind ;D They were all cookie cutters in the two pound range but, still skunking me on the Senko! I continued to flip a T-rigged craw immatation with full confidence I'd get into them soon enough. We worked all wood hard to no avial. We returned to the pads just as the sun was setting and found them one after another for a total of around 15 LM with the biggest in the 3lb range. Once the moon got hidden by the clouds and the lightining started the pad bite seemed to die, so we returned to flippin and skippin to wood and brush heading back to the launch. It paid off quite nicley for me and finally got my revenge on that SSB! Totals for the evening were well into the 20's, and I finally ended up getting into some quality fish. I got 6 fish on our way back all over 3.5lbs and it went something like this; 3.6# 3.8# 3.11# 4.2# 5# and a nice 6lber to round it off! :oGreat times on the water with good a friend is hard to beat! Pic's aren't the greatest but here's a few of the bigger fish.
  3. Get out there buddy!!!!!!!!! By the way, what's your schedule like these days? I need a trip to GS! A recent post from another site: Fished Quabbin on Saturday with my buddy Chad...what a mistake bringing him turned out be. We went in search of the coldest water we could find and found temps in low 50's. Within the first half hour we were doubled up, my fish a four pounder, his fish 5.8. on the blade. He switches to a tube and nails another 5.8. (yes I said another 5.8) I cannot get a fish to the boat and am ready to kick him in the nuts and throw him over, about a half hour later another tube fish at....6.2. Holy nuts the dude has over 17lbs of smallies in the live well and there is only three fish in there!!! These fish were so fat they looked like they were ready to burst! We moved around a little to get out of the wind and then went back to the same stretch and we both boat two more (small ones) one at 4.7 and one at 4.8, both on the blade. I can't believe I am disappointed to put a 4.8 in the livewell...it looked tiny next to the 6.2. We only boated ten total, only three fish under 4 pounds (of course those are the ones I caught!). The bite seem to shut down after the hard north wind let up. We were going to get it certified but didn't want to risk the health of that giant so we let it go to be caught again another day. Talk about being in the right place and the right time, what a day!! Chad is to never set foot in my boat again!! Scott Twin 5.8's 6.2
  4. Unfortunately, there has been a dramatic change in my schedule. Between working two jobs and taking on a third, being enrolled in three different schools as well as volunteering on the weekends, I will no longer be able to fill my obligations for the tournaments and are cancelled. My appologies to anyone who was looking forward to them and already signed up.
  5. Another fisherman enters the world! Brandon Lisa and Joshua born on 5/5/09 @ 2:23pm and weighed in at a nice 8 pounds 4 oz. All are doing well!
  6. Due to prior commitments and other T's there were only a few of us who fished, so there was no T and I'm darn glad the wasn't. It ended up being a pickerel fest for all, with only 3 keepers being caught with pickerel well into the dbl digits. The place was covered with fresh beds from one end of the pond to the other, but nothing on them yet. The Open T is set for the 17th which should make for much better results if they deside to move up on the beds by then, and I sure hope they do!
  7. Brandon and Lisa will be having a baby boy in the 8lb range tommorow. Wanted to congratulate them and wish them all the very best! Good luck and god bless the three of you!
  8. It seems Anthony was right about the beds. Fished Norton Res yesturday and found a ton fresh beds w/males under a pound on them. Water temps were 60* and rose to 62* by noon time. Not a fish in the boat over 2lbs, almost like a prespawn phase. Every boat I talked to was stuggling, numbers and size wise. The biggest fish was around 3lbs, which is extremely small for Norton. Should make for a nice T on the 17th though.
  9. You feeling ok Matt? I've been feeling it for months man, get out there!
  10. Cool! No problem at all. Not sure how many will be showing up due to prior commitments and other T's happening. But I'll be there for sure with maybe one or two other boats that confirmed. See ya there!
  11. The results of your tips and advice on the Lexan. Thank you all once again!
  12. Just a few of Mike's fish from the other day.
  13. We will most likely be doing an optional big fish or best five, allowing those not interested in the money thing to still fish.
  14. Getting people/boats together for this Sunday the 3rd on Norton Reservoir @ 6:30am. Mostly crawdads and jons but, anyone size boat is welcome, though we would like to keep this trolling motor only. For those of you who would like to fish but don't have a boat, there are a few open seats . Also, I'd like to remind anyone who has a crawdad or jon boat interested in fishing opens for a minimal entry fee: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1231844794
  15. Last evening, Tin found them with a jerkbait on wind blown shorelines and points and in four hours he had close 30 fish with a mixed bag of smallmouth, largemouth and a few walley to boot, including a 3/4lb beauty! I found one smallmouth on a swim jig and a HUGE serving of stubborn pie (yes stubborn, not humble pie ) refusing to throw the jerkbait and throwing the jig and 7" slammer the majority of the time. I had a few biggun's roll on the slammer but they weren't ready to fully commit. I was completely convinced I could pick up the big one..........WRONG! :-/ I think even I heard Mr Waddles laughing at me! :-[ ;D Had a great Mike and hope to do it agin soon! I'll post the pic's later this evening.
  16. Saweeeeeeeet!
  17. Ok, from this point foward, you must pre-register by pming me in order to fish any of the T's. The Noton T is next and there has been a lot of interest expressed. Once the ten boat limit is reached that's it. Unfortunately, if you show up at the ramp and the field is full, you will not be allowed to fish the T. Please revisit the rules on page one. No gas motors, crawdad and jon boats 14' and under only.
  18. Congrats to Anthony(Bassinri) and Bob on the win w/4 fish @ 7+ lbs! Extremely tough day on the river with only 5 fish being caught. I came in 2nd w/one fish and lunker @ 2.2lbs ;D
  19. Sounds fun DB, I haven't even fished a SM pond yet! > :'
  20. WTH do you know? Don't listen to him Anthony, he knows squat! : ;D
  21. Nice hawg Jeff! Even nicer resized pic! ;D
  22. Thank you sir! Extremely appreciated
  23. I have a few lures(swimbaits) that need the lexan lip replaced, as well as a few blanks that need lips installed. I'm wondering what are my options for cutting and shaping the lexan? I don't own a bandsaw. Thanks in advance for your assistance
