Just saw the news, a boater went missing on Stafford Pond. A firefighter from Tiverton who lives on the pond died while diving for the body! What a friggin bummer! They're continuing the search today for the missing boater. Lets say some prayers for the family's of the deceased!

AMAZING.................................. we've got all these people from RI/MA yet, where are they? The guys from NH stepping up and willing to drive that far for a night T get together?????? OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!!! My hats off to you I say 8pm to 2 or 9pm to 3 considering you may have people driving from NH. IMO......four hours is a bit short even though I'm only driving an hour. Heck my shortest outing in the past Three weeks has been a Ten hours. ;D By the way, I'm heading out Thursday day from 5am until around 2 or 3 pm on a newly discovered LM pond in Tiverton RI(car topper only) w/a buddy of mine and then again on Saturday night from 7pm to 5am for the first night trip to the Smallie pond in Plymouth MA, if anyone is interested in dropping in w/us. This past Sunday on the SM pond produced 2 LM around 5lbs,3 SM around 4 and a total in the mid 30's for the day, not to mention lossing a LM in the 8lb range :'(

I've only got the 12' jon now, so unless that's good enough I'll need to fall off of someone else's boat that night. ;D I'm in some how some way i'm in!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where the heck is Tin?????????? WTRDOG....before reading some of your posts I thought I was the president of the freak club, now looking forward to meeting the FOUNDER!

Though my club and regular T days are over It would be interesting just to meet a few of you freaks. In my experience...... Wallum sucks in the summer yet a night T might not be so bad. Would this be a singles or dbls T? Also wondering if Russ will be leaving a blood trail to attrack the bass? ;D

Hey Russ it's good to know you'll just invite yourself! How about fishing the Smallie pond this Sunday 4AM instead? Oh...would mind letting yourself know that this camping trip is for the dog's, alone time and rejuvination? I'm just not ready to cuddle up to you at night, especially with my dog's watching! Besides, I'd have to take the girl before I took you or I wouldn't be breathing very much longer. Another time my freind! With all the new gear I'll be camping a lot more!

Tried something like this last Friday night minus the spinning gear and canoe. Took up an offer to go out on a private pond out of LBH's jon to do some night fishing. Bought a new swimbait setup a few swimbaits including the MS Slammer. The Slammer was defective and never swam correctly in addition to the new Cardiff failing on about the 3rd cast. ;D So much fo rehab! Will try again next Friday night hoping for better results!

Not sure if this will stay in this section but I need someone local. The Association of pet dog trainers(APDT) is running a video contest(non-prize, no money involved) on teaching a dog to either sit doing tricks to leave-it, heal or walk nice on leash that will be up to 5 minutes long. If chosen they will be broadcasting the video's on their website as well as YouTube. I am offering a full free 7 week basic training program in exchange for your dog to star in the video. It's preferable that your dog have no or as little training as possibe. The training program is normally upwards of $250 for pups and over $300 for adults. A puppy would be ideal and must be at least 8 weeks old. Thank you for your time

Thanks Mike! I'm wondering if a good price will sway me to the Cardiff 300. I'm so frustrated right now w/Shimano products. It's just my mistake luck w/them lately, this is including 3 snapped rods one mid level and 2 of the highest end rods. I think I'm going with the Luna 253. Like I said I've never had an issue with Daiwa. The more I think of it the more I'm leaning to Diawa over my Revo's :-? Thanks again Mike!

I've been having an unbelievable bad luck streak w/Shimano reels purchased from BP in Foxboro MA. I've had to return 3 Curado 300's binding up (right out of box 1 in store and 2 at home) and 1 Cardiff 400(wouldn't engage) in the past 5 days all bought in that same time span. So as you might guess I'm a bit wary ordering a Shimano online as well. I have an extreme liking for every Daiwa reel I've purchased and haven't had one issue with any Daiwa ever. I'm looking at the Daiwa Luna 300 as a swimbait reel and wondered if anyone else here is fimilar with it? Though, the Curado is about 2oz lighter and $199 vs. $239 for the Luna, I'm hesitant to try a Shimano agian. So before I click the order button through Cabela's I'll wait until I get some feed back. As always, thanks in advance!

Okay, Normally I'm a huge sceptic when baits first hit the market and wait to hear what other fisherman who have used the bait a while have to say. But, when the original RT came out I grabbed a few packs of the craws and loved the "THUMP" they put out. However, I was a bit disapointed that after a few fish they kept sliding down the hook and had to breakout the fishing glue to keep-em from slipping yet, something that continues to put fish in the boat is well worth the effort. On a recent outing w/Masshole Mike I watched him toss around the RT Shad and became very intrigued. Bought a few packs and Now I can't put the darn thing down! It's ability to stay ontop and create such a commotion as well as being able to fish them in a wide veriety of retrieves was extremely appealing. I've been all over the internet lately looking for something different to use around pads in addition to open water. At first I was going to say "The Lizard is just the type of lure I was looking for!" But, after watching the video of the next generation RT's they all seem to fit the bill and can't wait for them hit the market! I'll definately be making room in the tackle box for 3 or 4 new baits.

I'm looking for a campground in RI or MA on the water that will allow dogs so we can head out in the jon boat for the day and do some bass fishing later in the season. Thanks in advance!

I am DEAD serious. I looking at fishing as more than just catching. I look at the total experience. If the day comes that I can not find any joy of seeing a sunrise, being in the beautiful outdoors, seeing dozens of animals, spending time with my family and/or friends, and catching my little scalely friends, I think that I have lost most of what life has to offer and there is little else. It used feel like this for me as well. Hoping that dropping out of the Club scene will bring back that peaceful feelling.
