  1. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels much better when your the one in the front of the boat. It has always been a challenge for me to adapt when in the back of someone else's boat. My confidence drops even before we're on the water and though I might be thinking I have a better plan in my head I never critisize the front mans decisions. I do my best to to adapt yet never with consistant results. How do you overcome this?
  2. It never entered my mind. As I stated previously "Heck of a job!"
  3. I've been fishing in T's for the past 10 years and have always pre-fished, even waters I know. My closest friends seem to feel just the opposite they either do no pre-fishing at all or maybe once and that's it. I don't believe it was the pre-fishing that hurt me and feel it had more to do with the honey holes already taken and not having a good plan B or I had built up so much confidence in the lures I used pre-fishing and failed to make the changes needed during the T. Wondering what others do?
  4. I just re-read your reply......... $30,000????????????? I am obviously fishing the wrong tourny's! Heck of a job!
  5. X2 I have also jumped sites due to the bickering, arrogance, belittling and hijacking of threads. This is an Outstanding site and here's a big THANK YOU to the originators as well as the participants!
  6. I'll be there Friday waiting for the doors to to open hopefully beating the rush!
  7. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL AFTER THE SPAWN!
  8. Ours is a single's club and my total weight for the year was around 50lbs. After actually doing the math correctly : brings my average outing up to 8.5 :)again not including the TOC.
  9. Unfortunately I do remember! > Prefished watchaug and got 15lbs 1st trip and 21+ 2nd trip Tourny day 10lbs winning team............................37+ Got to lay off the pre-fishing on lakes I already know
  10. Thank you sir! There where a few T's that I had over 10 to 15+ lbs and just missed the win on four of them by 2 to 4oz :-[ Allways the brides maid last year yet still won six times the cost of entry fee's & dues. Hoping for beter results this year due to the better body's of water chosen.
  11. I was just wondering were I stood campared to other tourny guys . In general for the last 5 years and fishing about 6 club T's a year, not counting the opens I fish. I end up with an approximate average of 7.5 pounds per tourny. I know bieng up north I won't be anywhere close to the guys fishing out west or down south but still interested in their stats. OK, where do I stand? Average? Good? Should I not quit my day job ;D Thanks for your input and honesty
  12. Very nice pic's!!!!! BEAUTIFUL PUP! As much as I love my Weimaraner I think my next will be a Lab. Zig just can't handle the cold and not to thrilled about a hike or hunt unless it's 50 or above. Now that I think of it I'm starting to fee the same way!
  13. Anyone out there from or around New Rochelle NY? How's the bass fishing out that way? What type of community is it? Concidering a job offer. Thanks, Paul
  14. These are on the end of the line for every outing and I will stay with them unless things are working out. 1. 5/8 oz black/blue jig 2. Hudd Bug: Blk/blue-green purple or brown purple) 3. Deps Buzjet: Black-Glass cat or Real Blue gill 4. Lucky Craft Gunfish: Ghost Lake Mead-MS MJ Herring-Rainbow 5. 5" Senko: Smoke w/ blk flk--#214 and watermellon
  15. Owned two of them a 9" & 7"Caught nothing but bass. After two years and some very sore shoulders I sold them. It's fun to see the bass crush it from below yet I caught bigger fish as well as more fish with the more traditional lures. Don't get me wrong it's a great wake bait and looks good in the water, but it gets extremely exhausting! I'd rather throw the BuzzJet or a jig
  16. ;D No need I run a 24 volt 80lb thrust MK on my Tracker. But I know what you mean, I love Stafford yet when the wind's up It can be quite a challange. I would much rather be at Stafford than Beach anyway, lol. It will be loaded with largie beds then. Last year I caught a 2.5 pound female off a bed on the annual July 4th tourney. Yeah, same here! Last year around that same time we got over 40 bass with five over 4lbs and two over 5+. I was teaching a few live bait fisherman the use of artificials, they both got there PB's that day on artificials. It had to be one of my, if not my best outing ever. She was a very happy girl!

  18. Unless it's a tourny or I'm sharing the boat they're always with me and wouldn't have it any other way!
  19. Darn, I haven't fished that place in over 20 years. Unfortunately my 2nd T of the year is on Stafford that day Would have been cool meeting you guys and getting schooled at the same time! ;D CHANGE THE DATE!
