Florida ?
Living in Rhode Island getting extremely depressed from the 2 days of ice melting weather then back to the deep freeze,. I can't friggin handle another year of this crapola. I was contemplating relocating back to FL full time or maybe just for the darn winter months and back to RI for the spring on a yearly basis. My question...well I've got 2 ?'s I lived in Kissimee in 1992-94 and everytime I would wade in the water with my dog's A state policeman or official would pull up and tell me if I value my dog's life as well as my own I better get them out of the water due to gators loving the taste of dog's. They are on the boat with me 99% of the time as well as swimming and retrieving for training and excercise. I'm concerned the dog's and I would lose this favorite outing. Question one: Is this true that I should not allow them to swim or stick thier heads over the side of the boat? Are there any good fisheries that I would not have this concern? Ok, 3 questions! last one. I am a residential/commercial painter as well as a professional dog trainer and a nationally certified Animal control officer. What are the chances I could find work, from say November through March on a yearly basis? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

After seeing Matt's nostalgic photo in the "Salute to Grandpa" thread I thought it would be cool to see some of your favorite fishing pic's here. This one is of my best net man and his side kick. No fish were harmed in this stunt!

Revo STX
My personal preference is the SX though I haven't had the chance to check out the STX as of yet. I just sold a Premiere that I used 6 times for $160 after paying $259 new in the flea market thread so I could replace it with another SX. Not that I have anything bad to say about the Premiere it's just my personal preference.

Revo STX
Got a 2 of the Revo's sx one on a 7'2" Cumara's M/L and a 7'2" Cumara M. 1 Diawa Zillion on the Cumra 7'2" M/H and Chronarch on 7'6" Hellium 2 M/h. The Cumara has outstanding sensitivety and backbone to boot! These are the most comfortable and light weight rods I've ever used. The Revo set-ups is my favorite with the Zillion set running a very close 2nd mostly becuase that's my Jig set-up and love the JIG! The one downside (very small one) is where they located the hook keeper. It's on the underside rim of the EVA foam handle just below the reel seat w/a teflon isert. If your like me and load up the lures with scent the handle can get a bit slick. Easy fix is to attach hook hanger of your own.Nice idea but in the wrong spot. There is also the lifetime exchange w/o a deductable just return it to where you bought it and they hand you a new one. Hard to beat! Check out Tackle tour for review

***CAST ForKids Ice Out Tournament***
I'm confused?????? (not out of the ordinary) :-/ $40 per person or $80 per team. Is a single person, limit of 5 fish going against a team of 2 and 10 fish limit for 1st 2nd etc...? Not that it's about the almighty $ just wondering and would like to jump in. Thanks

Salute to Grandpa!
Realizing how much joy, passion and friendship has been brought in to my life purely from bass fishing alone, I thought it was due time to thank the one I owe this to and open the doors for others to do the same. You never seem to realize until it's too late just how valuable our mentor's were. In our youth we are seldom capable absorbing he full extent of what an awesome gift they have actually left for us. They gave up their personal time to teach a snotty noised impatient chatter box rather than being out on the water with a true fisherman, their best friend or just being out alone enjoying the peace and tranquility of nature without a million questions. No one twisted their arm or forced them to do this, it was from the heart! Now that he's past I kick myself knowing I never had the opportunity to let him know just how thankful I am. So here's to Gramp's for the gift of a lifetime!!!!!!

Is thier something wrong with me?
;D ;D ;D Welcome to the club! In my younger years I had a saying: FISH ON THE BRAIN ALL DAY ALL NIGHT,IN THE MIDDLE OF S_X IN THE MIDDLE OF A FIGHT, DREAMING EVERY SECOND OF THAT LINE STRIPPING BITE! Things have changed a lot since then......... I no longer fight! :-/ ;D ;D

Any Hud-bug fishermen out there?
Your welcome anytime! Yes, remove weights when using the spot! Pinch the bug (w/thumb on the underside ontop of wire insert) and your finger ontop. With your other hand grab the weights (remember to keep pinching) and slowly pull horizontally towards the tail of the craw. Not a big deal comes out fairly easy this way. They at one point were selling them w/and w/o wieghts and wish they still did. Don't over look the way Huddelston recommends rigging it either:RECOMMENDATIONS: Rig the Huddle-bug from the underside. Go through the eyelet of the wire harness and out of the top between the eyes w/a Mustad #6 drop shot hook. When pitching or dragging through the thick stuff I'll use a weedless hook like the Gamma's weedless Finesse Hooks.

Any Hud-bug fishermen out there?
I rig it on pro-spot remover 1/8 to 3/16 oz. Copied from the site:The Pre-rigged Huddle-bug comes in eight colors and features the "Huddleston external weight system". Hooks are NOT included! You can order the Mustad #6 drop shot hooks. The Huddle-bug weighs 1/8 oz and is 2 3/4" long IMO as to the durability, I have had days where I've used one all day and others where I'll go through 2 or 3. Like I said I have had the same bug's over a year. Granted I have lost some in that time yet who hasn't lost a few in a days worth of fishing. The only week point would be the front claws and when it's time to fill the live well I'm not worried about losing a $2 lure. $10.99 per pack 5 in a pack =$2.20 per bug well worth it IMO...Especially when I think about all the pickerel swimming around with a shiny new $15 lucky craft lip ring!

Attractants ?
Being a heavy user of Smelly Jelly (addict) and anyone else that uses it knows the side effects, they don't call it "Smelly-Jelly" for nothing! I was wonder if anyone else has seen the recent Hank Parker show that he and a friend where using a new spray attractant, I thought was made by owner or Gammi that left no stink? Thanks in advance.

Is thier something wrong with me?
Years ago I would have never thought I'd be saying this yet now in my mid forty's there is absolutely nothing in this world I would rather be doing then bass fishing from a boat. I do mean "NOTHING"! So here's my question; should I seek phsycological help or is it normal to choose smelling like a garliced-up craw shad over anything else in this world?
