Must be my day to tweak you. That might be what makes it a dream. :D Phhht, semantics.
  5. Any reason you prefer the Fireline braid as opposed to the Fused Fireline, which is optimized for spinning reels? fused frays and comes apart.braid lasts longer.braid is easier to get tangles out of.my wife prefers fused. for the life of me i can't understand why anyone would use outdated powerpro when there are lines like sufix 832,diawa samurai and fireline braid out there. I've got like 2000 yards of 20, 50, and 65 still. I'm not chucking out what works perfectly well. I have 50# Tracer on a jig rod. Its quiet, but that's about all I see. I do like the visibility of it. Fused? I used to use 14# Crystal on a spinning rig for casting spoons for trout and salmon. That line held up very well, as long as there was no abrasion. The only reason I switched back to copoly for this was freezing temps. Superlines + freezing = bad time.

My friend says he can jump from 50 to 70 with a little goose of the throttle, and it doesn't even downshift, and that's towing a 20' boat LOL. All that low end torque!
  7. 10 seconds or so in the nuke should get those bottle right.
  8. If abrasion is your concern, then use leader material. That can be expensive, though.
  9. Get a couple of cheap, used kayaks. Add some rod holders, and you're in business.
  10. Congrats, bro!
  11. Fish over 3lbs.? Though, I broke more dt10s than 6s.
  12. As far as fly fishing for carp...... ehhh. LOL. You guys can post up all the pics and accolades about how smart they are, and what a battle..... One of my last fish from the kayak last year was a 33lb. beast caught on my ml drop shot rod. Stupid thing ate Gulp minnow meant for a perch. The one good thing about that catch is my new found respect for InvisX 6 lb. I wailed on that fish, and the line didn't break. Carp are annoying. They disturb spawning bass. Scare other fish away. And scare the crap out of me when they are spawning. I curse the stupid people that brought these pests here.
  13. Have you ever fly fished for carp? Waded the shallows, see one tailing? Made the perfect cast, only for him to turn up his nose at it? Then made a perfect cast, seen the barely detectable take, set the hook, and watched 30 yards of line zing off your fly reel in 5 seconds? http://carponthefly.blogspot.com/ Cute baby you got there 4Bizz.
  14. In some circles,they are....

I'm going 3/4 ton chevy diesel crew cab next. Great move, especially if you tow a lot. I regret not getting the four door. I like the look of mine, but doing the "suicide door shuffle" with the kids gets old. So I guess my true dream car is my truck in a crew cab, LOL. Have you seen the plans for a small diesel for the 1/2 ton platforms? Looks pretty sweet.
  16. http://fish.shimano.com/publish/content/global_fish/en/us/index/customer_service0.html Should be about $50.
  17. Dude, go ahead. Many up here use them on their centrepin rods. in freezing temp, you just mash the ice out of them. That's their best application if you ask me.
  18. So catching an 8 lb. largemouth wasn't enough to tell you that you got the rigging right? Sounds like you got it right to me. Good job!
  19. If you're gonna use a leader, use the right knot.....Alberto
  20. Ironic that a worm with its own built in action would have a name like "Flick-Shake," which are verbs. ;D You can let them drop, and I do just that sometimes, but then its just a weighted worm. The show is in the shaking.
  21. LOL, I've heard much worse advice.
  22. Use and dirt kills them. That, and physical damage. I've learned over time to just replace the worm shaft and pawl in one shot.
