Senko: Is it Evil?
Gave up on them years ago. Not one fish, ever. No bites, nothing.

Lew's Rods now at TW
Those reel seats are a deal breaker.

It was an Ugly day at Walmart...
Last time I sent a rod out, it cost me $26.

Shipping and insurance will be more than a new rod. 13 years of service is a good life. Retire it, and get a new one.

baitcast reels
Probably had the cork knobs scavenged off it......

lets see it... Biggest swimbait fish
I can't post any swimbait bass, because I don't have any pics....none have been camera worthy. It would take a 7 to get the camera out.

baitcast reels
Just a durability thing for me. Although, I will break from that, I do own a CI4. Also, the TD-Z and the Zil aren't exactly ultra lo-pro. I prefer the Alphas profile. Just fits better fishing all day.

baitcast reels
I'd take a Zil over the Z. Aluminum frame is a must have for me. If I want a lighter reel, I'll go with my Alphas/Sols.

Now THAT was funny. ;D ;D ;D

I'm color blind blue. I can see blue, though. I just can't tell some shades apart. As far as the traffic signal goes, you are aware that they are all the same, red on top, yellow in the middle, and green at the bottom.

Weird drag thing ???
Congrats! Chris only uses spinners, and obviously isn't going to backreel. Nothing will ever convince me back reeling is better. Its a holdover from before good drags were available for spinners.

Rage Tail?
Just lather them up with Megastrike. Works for me.

Senko: Is it Evil?
The funny part about the pic I posted.....I didn't even catch it on a senko. Go figure?

Senko: Is it Evil?
Not sure if the first question was directed towards me or not, but I dislike the senko and prefer to toss other lures at locations where I feel big bertha is resting. I have never used a senko as a search bait and probably never will. Like you mentioned, the Senko doesnt exactly elicit large amounts of excitability from bass in my experience. There are much better ways to locate bigger more active fish. Sorry if I read your post incorrectly. Just a general question inspired by your post.

Senko: Is it Evil?
Probably wouldn't have caught this fish without a Senko: What's funny, I probably threw the Senko 20 times that day. 18 times at this fish.

If this doesnt get you to start throwing trout swimbaits...
Plain old rainbow trout.
-
Senko: Is it Evil?
So, you don't consider locating bigger, active fish part of the game? Or are you senko guys just fishing small ponds? I mean, its not like fish come swimming from any distance to get a senko, or any other bait.

Sebile Magic Swimmer
Like anything else, its about how you fish, not the lure. They are good, have good hooks, and catch fish where there's fish.
-
What have you purchased recently????? 2010
Nice, I have two, and a 580 master. You gonna slave it up?
-
Senko: Is it Evil?
How many of you guys actually think a Senko is a bait that fish will bite when all else fails?

LMAO.....

Real fish? Phhht...dumb bass will eat anything, LOL. Now trout, they are very selective. You gotta get the pattern perfect.

Weird drag thing ???
Whatever, the dry system will solve Chris's problem, based on my time on the water.
