Is the USPS really that useless?
There's no record, because you haven't received shipment. Once you receive the shipment, then there will be a record.

That's where I got the idea it was free.

Is the USPS really that useless?
Actually, it worked perfectly considering it's called a "Delivery confirmation number." They don't advertise that as a tracking number. It shouldn't spelled out "tracking number" when sellers send me emails. : It IS a tracking number, but for the shipper, not person getting the item.

They do give you a tracking number, though its for delivery confirmation, which comes free with every Priority Mail shipment. Delivery confirmation is not free with priority mail. It costs an additional 65 cents. BTW,, from the back of a delivery confirmation sticker $.65??? Crap, I'm going to have to redo my '09 budget! Just kidding - thanks for the clarification. Actually, I just checked, its $.19 electronic, and $.70-.80 retail.

Flippin' setup
A Carbontex dry washer replacement would be the best $8 upgrade for your heavy cover Shimano reels. You'll get the power you desire, and get to use the reels you like.

Mr. Yo-Zuri Tries Braid
Ditch the leader, unless you are fishing chunk rocks, concrete structure, or steel dock pilings. Zebra and/os Quagga mussels dictate a leader as well. I also think your leader should be a proper fluoro leader material, like CFX or Gamma leader. Less stretch, sinks like a rock, and tough as steel, abrasion wise. I actually use 40 or 50# fluoro leader for Northern Pike fishing. For bass, 8 to 20# is fine. An Improved Allbright knot has been the best knot so far, especially with jarring hooksets in heavy weeds. You may want to look into the newer 8-strand braids, like Samurai or Fireline Braid (not fused). When I finally run out of Power Pro (sometime around 2025, I predict, LOL) I'll be trying these.

Good, big, deep-diving crawdad pattern crank ???
What he said, though I have no color preference. ^^^ Lucky Craft use VMC hooks, sharpened by Daiichi of Japan. In some ways, they seem stickier than Owner Stingers. I do find that they occasionally bend out, usually my fault when removing the hooks with pliers. In that case, the Owner Stinger makes an excellent replacement. You can also get OE Lucky Craft hooks from Tackle Warehouse.

Senko Magic
Outside of the spawn, senkos are a follow up bait in tx. I've fished with a few tx. partners that throw nothing but, and it just makes me crazy! Who can sit and wait for a senko to sink to 15+ FOW when time = money? Now, if your fishing a small pond, and the weed pockets are just right, you may very well catch many of the bass there. Just don't forget to go back through those same pockets with a grass jig or texas rig worm, fish slowly on the bottom. You'll pick up a few more, and probably bigger fish.

St Croix spinning MXF rods for hard jerkbaits?
I don't use spinning for jerkbaits, since I generally go with larger baits, but I do use a AVC62MXF for hard jerks and topwater plugs. If I was a little taller, the same rod in a 6'6" would probably work too. I like the tip recovery speed of an XF rod for any kind of twitch/sweep type retrieve.

nonboaters vs. boaters in a club
We have a specific set of rules to deal with this. We have about a dozen boats per tx.

How many rods have you guys broke?
Only two on fish, and I suspect the were defective. Their replacements work fine to this day. Another two or three through stupidity.

Is the USPS really that useless?
A tracking system to tell you your package is in transit? That has to be most superfluous thing ever. Where is it? You don't have it, so it must be in transit. How does it help you to know where it is? Really, this is a useless tool, to me. USPS Priority gets most things to me in about 2 business days. Overnight, if its from PA, NY, Mass, or OH. Really, its the same for UPS Ground. I prefer to ship with the USPS, because for the most part its the easiest. I also really like UPS. Their service is second to none, but you pay for it. Sometimes this is important for high dollar items. Both my UPS and USPS carriers make sure my shipments are well taken care of. In the case of the USPS carrier, he is my neighbor, and he knows to make sure my stuff makes to me in good shape. The Fedex guy simply drops the boxes in driveway and speeds off. Same for DHL.

Yellow jacket sting.
You need to be stung at least twice, on separate occasions to determine if you're allergic. The second instance is when it shows up, though I as well suspect you are. You should be able to pick up a bee sting kit locally. Keep one around at all times, one at work, one in the car, one at home.... http://www.webmd.com/allergies/guide/insect-stings

- Flippin' setup
Its a Steez combo. Pretty close to that combo: Rod: http://www.***.com/descpageRDCDAIWA-DZLFL.html Reel: http://www.***.com/descpageRLCDAIWA-TDZIR.html- Flippin' setup
I flip with just about every setup I own. I assume you referring to a heavy cover setup for t-rig plastics and jigs. What is your price range? The sky literally is the limit on this type of gear. My friend uses a $1000 rig for this stuff. My rig, while not cheap, is much more modest. I use a Kistler 7'6" Flipping & Pitching Special and a Daiwa TDX103HSDL spooled with 50 or 65# braid. The reel was about $200, the rod was on sale for $100.- Fingerprinted
You'd have to ask them. My employer keeps mine, but no law enforcement office that I know of keeps them. They just ran ours against the database, looking for hits, mostly to protect the integrity and security of the services offered to the government. Imagine if a known criminal or worse, a terrorist, gained access through a job with a government contractor. Its unlikely in your case that a criminal would be able to do harm with brushpiles, LOL, but if your friend is operating under a federal grant, then its probably SOP. It doesn't bug me, but then again, I've got nothing to hide, and I'm not particularly paranoid about the government. I've seen how they operate, they're too stupid to have some master plan involving my fingerprints. Just ask your friend about it, and why he needs this.- Where Are You Finding them in RI/Southern Mass
Jeez, this went from an interesting thread that was interesting to compare reports to my results to a bunch of dirty laundry. you guys should take this off line.- I feel free...
I'll buzz my hair once or twice a year. It does feel great, especially if its grown out. My general cut is a #2 fade to finger length. In my late 20s, my hairline receded above my temples, but stopped there. I'm 37 now, and haven't lost anymore, though e few are gray, LOL.- Fingerprinted
I'd be willing to bet he's working under a federal grant, and any "employees" involved with it must follow the same process. You wouldn't be "in the system" unless you already committed a crime. For most of my "real" jobs, I've been required to undergo an FBI background check, fingerprinting, hair samples for drug testing, and some silly psych evaluation. Even though I don't work for the government, my company has contracts with them, and all employees, including unpaid interns, must submit this information.- Strike King/KVD Perfect Plastics
X2 Love the Ochos. Great action and texture to the bait. Honestly, they are the 1st "senko" style bait that actually captured my interest, outside of the originals. They have a very unique shimmy, and catch fish without trying to be a Senko. - Flippin' setup
