  1. Can't say that I ever felt bass had any leverage against a spinnerbait. $10 is a lot for a spinnerbait. I'm not sold. Been using basically the same design for over 30 years with virtually no change in the design, and for good reason.
  2. None of those activities are similar to fishing like hunting is. It's like comparing a race boat driving champion to a pro fisherman. Driving a high performance boat can be part of fishing expertise, and you might be at some measurable expert level, but it doesn't match up easily with the multiple disciplines that fisherman accumulate skill in. I'm not saying one is more or less an achievement than the other, just that it's not really good parallel. Your free to argue with yourself though. There's a couple things I have accumulated some knowledge and wisdom - one or two related to fishing even - but there's always someone to show you something and learn new things. Despite it not really being my favorite rig, I will out fish you using a drop shot, unless your nickname is "No Good," lol.
  3. Marksmanship is just one aspect of becoming a hunting expert. Much like casting accuracy is a part of fishing. I don't see the parallel. I can shoot pretty well, but can tell you squat about gun maintenance, ammo, or tracking down deer.
  4. I think there are experts in just about everything. Just because you've reached a certain point doesn't mean the journey is over.
  5. That's not a three tray Plano. It's about 24" x 14" x 18". The one I have has five drawers, and weighs around 50 lbs. when loaded up. You put it in your boat, and leave it there, lol. Here's one next to a 3-tray for perspective:
  6. I love turkey dinners! The trick is to preheat your oven.
  7. I like to match my socks and underwear with my worm weights.
  8. No thanks, lol. I still have a couple Plano Phantoms and a pile of the Rubbermaid boxes from back when my boat didn't modern storage. Those Phantoms weighed a ton when full. (not my images)
  9. These were the jam in the late 70s/early 80s. At least yours doesn't have the usual worm burn!
  10. Welcome! Go slow as you build up gear.
  11. Thanks, closing this thread since you posted in the upgrade announcement.
  12. I think it's a good idea, but only if there's video of the maiden voyage.
  13. Love the skull! \m/
  14. Fixing it right now Just post the address for the image only, the software does the rest.
  15. It isn't removable. It's just a waterproof lid.
  16. Their insulated socks are nice, and they have the raspberry gummies I like. Other than that, and a few staples, it isn't like the old days. I think it's a little of both: I have or have seen everything, and they carry less interesting stuff.
  17. We're gonna need a thread with a rundown of that boat and lots of pics. I'm currently in the research phase of a new boat, and CC bay boats are tops on the list.
  18. For every registered member that looks at a thread, there are 5-10 lurkers that look at it, so yes someone will see it and benefit.
  19. Agreed, Also, Tabasco in cocktail sauce.
  20. A little long is better than too short, for sure. You can put a cake back in the oven a few more minutes, but you can't unbake a burnt one.
  21. Good thing I wasn't answering for you
